I would just like to know if anyone was put in a semi reasonable place based on provisionals. Personally I was placed in bronze 2 after winning 7/10 games with either just reasonable stats or I contributed immensely to winning as shown by stats. And both a combination of not having time to play and getting frustrated with the players at that level has left my in bronze 3. And I am definitely not a bronze level player.

Dedrius1 votesJust checking out some of your games I can see that your CS is extremely low and you die a lot, if you work on those things you will be able to climb easily.
I got placed in gold 5 after losing 8/10 games from plat 3 so it was pretty accurate but it was easy to climb because I was above a gold player.

I could easily climb if it weren't for the fact that i haven't been able to play for months at a time... and besides i main jungle, that atones for my general poor csing skills. And besides the point of this thread was merely to see if I was not the only one placed in a low bracket. Once I have the time I will climb just fine

I specifically worded that statement " getting frustrated with players at that level " to avoid exactly what I feel you are talking about. I don't think I lose because " my backpack just isn't big enough " or any other typical excuse for playing poorly. Ever game I attempt to further the teams play by staying positive, thinking ahead, and even giving advice to areas that are struggling, and I find that people tend to ignore help. Whether you think so or not winning a game by yourself is not realistic, and bad teammates do exist. Is every game I lose due to my teammates? Hell no, but the majority of them are indeed the result of toxic behavior, negativity and refusal to communicate or lack of an open mind to find problems.

In the end, I just managed to be placed on the exact same rank and division.

exe31 votesI was Silver 1 in Season 3 and got straight into Gold 5 last year after winning most of my placements. I've only just started placements for this year (not a fan of ranked personally so I avoid it usually) both games went 8/1 so far but sadly in the second game our Vlad rage quit so we lost anyway. Still 8/1 is a great way to end a 4v5 so hopefully the system takes that into account.

Baunjo1 votesYes. Play normals and learn every role, not that you have to like them, but just learn them. Also try and have atleast 5 champions per role that you play WELL, they dont have to be perfect and you dont have to like them but you need to be flexible in ranked. Another important thing is watching streamers and youtubers that give good commentary. One of my favorite youtubers to watch for LoL advice is FoxDropLoL because I main jungle and he is very good. Finally, though the thread is not perfect, search for my thread called " Objective Control " and read that thoroughly, it will give you an idea of how to work towards bringing a game to a close and the concept of trading objectives.
