@RiotRepertoir - PBE Quinn's New Ultimate

First off, I'd like to apologize for trying to contact you like this, but I don't have a PBE account, so I can't share my thoughts on that board.

From what I've seen, nobody is happy with the new ult, but Riot's not willing to change it back to the old one. Now I could ask you what the deal is, why Quinn players can't have the Quinn they want, but I'm well aware that's not going to fix anything.

So instead, let's talk about what we can do to give her a better ult, shall we?

The first and most simple solution I have is to add a blind onto Skystrike, to give her that added "I am here to just RUIN YOUR DAY" feeling that good roaming champions always give off, while bringing back a beloved part of Quinn's kit. It's not the strongest solution, if you ask me, but it's probably fairly simple to do and it would give her the initiative at the beginning of the fight, kind of like how in RPGs you have a chance to engage the enemy from behind, which results on a free round of attacks for your party.

The second solution is to add an armor shred effect to her Skystrike instead, and have it scale in duration/intensity based on how far she's traveled in her ult, like Dead Man's Plate does now.

The third solution I have, I am going to name Scout/Ambush for the moment.

Scout: Quinn directs Valor to fly to a specified point on the map. Valor is a targetable unit whose move speed is 110/150/190% of Quinn's total move speed, but slows to her move speed if he's "in combat." Valor will appear on the minimap with his portrait if the enemy team has vision of the area he's moving through, and generally behaves and is targeted like a champion. If Valor's health is reduced to 0 before he reaches his destination, he is "driven off" and Scout goes on cooldown. Valor can be damaged by champions, enemy minions, pets and turrets. If Valor reaches his targeted destination, he leaves a Flag Marker there and Quinn's ult changes to Ambush. The Flag Marker cannot be destroyed by enemy champions, but is visible to them.

Ambush: Valor rapidly flies Quinn to the location of the Flag Marker. Scout goes on cooldown, reduced by a percentage of time based on how long the Flag Marker was up and unused (and capped reasonably). Upon reaching their marker, Valor uses Heightened Senses (without putting the spell itself on cooldown) and gives Quinn enhanced movement speed for 3/4/5 seconds. This would act similarly to Rek'Sai's ult in how fast Quinn gets across the map, but because it can only go to one spot, which is not hidden and requires Valor to make it to that spot safely, there would be no global sound alert of her ulting, just the visual effect from Heightened Senses going off as she lands.

This move doesn't really bring back the duo feeling that Quinn and Valor should have, but it does emphasize the fact that they are two separate entities and can split up and trust one another to do their jobs as another form of teamwork, while maintaining that "roaming" feel you guys want. Example, Quinn could send Valor to bot lane, then walk up to top lane herself, gank there, then immediately ult to bot lane and gank again.

I doubt you'll read any of this, honestly--senpai hasn't noticed me yet :< But I figured it wouldn't hurt to try. I want you to know that I personally am very disappointed right now. Not with the changes themselves so much, I'll miss Tag Team as it is, but things change. No, what I'm disappointed in is that Riot flatly refuses to not make the changes after everyone who likes Quinn has begged them not to make the changes. Does that really mean nothing to you guys? Why do you guys jump through hoops to keep some champions viable despite their versatility making them oppressive when viable, but when it comes to champions like Mordekaiser or Quinn, you do what you want and everyone else is welcome to sit down, shut up and accept it? That's not cool. It's almost like you guys made Kindred, decided that Kindred was the "duo champ" you had always wanted, and determined that Valor had to go :(

But it's been made clear that's how things work, so I hope I at least helped out with improving her ult if you read this.

Bump. Nobody has anything at all to say about any of this?
