How To Win A 4v5

Alright, so clearly Riot isn't going to deal with the issue of AFK's anytime soon. So instead of complaining let's use this space to discuss some different strategies to cope with the inevitable situation. Here are a few thoughts that come to mind. Please leave your ideas below as well.

  1. Don't play support: While they have an important role to play, supports are often the weakest member on the team. Assuming you are not the person going AFK, then you increase the odds of the leaver being the support. While it is better to have all 5 members, I'd rather the support be AFK than the mid or top laner.

  2. Have the Jungler take over the missing lane. So if the AFK is in one of the lanes then the Jungler should probably take over. While they may be countered and not end up getting very fed, it is better than losing several towers. And if the AFK is the support or ADC, then the Jungler needs to be camping that lane.

  3. Adjust builds depending on who went AFK. If the AFK was your only tank, then it's probably a wise idea to get a defensive item. Of course this all depends on the situation at hand.

What do you think? Any other ideas on how to cope with a 4v5?

I do not think it is a simple task, I apologize if it came across that way. My only point was that AFK's will continue to be an issue for the foreseeable future.

i apologize as well i was slightly aggressive in that post. Just know they are working on it. But no game can do much about it.

Well in the meantime, do you have any strategies to cope with a 4v5 match? And what do you think of my suggestions?

Other than be extreamlly fed and force one of their team to afk. If you have an assassin have them hide in the enemy jungle assuming you have pushed towers and pick off their mid or adc. the moment they respawn and start walking, do it again. Pisses them off to no end.

Or if your team is fed group and force. 4 fed people will for their top to TP down and if you are fed you will have take care of the rest of their team already.
