Really worried about my accounts safety...

So, I recently clicked on a "riot promotion" link, and, upon posting about it here, found out that it was a malware site designed to steal my account. There was a link riot posted which was supposed to help me keep my account safe, but it was invalid. How do I make sure to keep my account safe, knowing someone might have my password?
