Zed rework/new lore/VU is coming? (What is this)?

They changed his icon on the page and they also added a popup video when you go to the page. The new icon for Zed looks pretty cool too, I must admit.

This is.... new. Looks like a cherry blossom tree is growing in his helmet. Is Zed going to die or get a new skin?
