They haven't updated everyones lore yet, so it is still possible that he could get a lore change.

They ret-conned the lore that was heavily based on the Summoners and the Institute of War. Rengar is simply a humanoid beast that was raised by humans and truly loves hunting. I don't see why they should change his lore.

There has been a desire for a yordle jungler and I think a yordle has been confirmed for release. So I'm assuming it's a yordle jungler who has a fascination with Rengar, probably with a skin with homage to another jungle or Champion
