So 3s are a Solo Queue now?

I have a complaint, because this is both irritating and frustrating. I've been Gold in 3s, for 2 seasons in a row now. Except this past season. I would have been Gold, had Riot not done:

1. Implied that they were removing the queue and replacing with a rotating game queue. [I'm glad to see 3s get their own Solo/Flex queue. It was overdue. However, the misleading information kind of made it not feel as if it was going to continue to be worth playing. I'm Gold in multiple other queues, I'd much rather focus my attention in those rather than a queue they're stating that may not exist. I like the competitive nature and ladder that 3s brings, but I'm already receiving awards, so I really only play to climb and show off a border.
2. Made teams such a limited thing last season. So all of season 6 was frustrating because the queues were unavailable so frequently, that I never even had time to play, or my team and I just weren't able to play because the AVAILABILITY of the queue didn't fit our schedules for the 3 of us.

Normally, I wouldn't ask for handouts, and I haven't really ever asked for any handouts from Riot, but I think these two statements are pretty straight to the point. I didn't get a Gold border because not only could I not play half the time on Riot's behalf, but they also mislead the entire scenario of the queue itself. I finished Gold 5 in Season 4 and I finished Gold 1 in season 5, I feel as if I'm owed a Gold border now that the queue and borders themselves are actually relevant.
