Can We Just Implement A System...

That detects when the League of Legends client randomly decides to kill itself in ranked queues and immediately forgives a loss? I love this game, but it pisses me off when I am literally losing LP due to no fault of my own. That doesn't include the fact that even when I return to ranked I am immediately welcomed with heartwarming comments such as "report corki" "stfu corki".

Can you design said system?

No, but Riot has both the time and resources to do so. The League of Legends client is arguably the most unstable piece of software I have ever seen.

That's quite the claim. Do you have anything other than assumptions to support it?

Last year Riot made 1 Billion dollars in revenue. More and more people are playing this game every day, meaning more and more people are buying RP. If Riot actually wanted to improve the experience for their players, they would.

Not that I think they are broke or anything but 1 billion in revenue doesn't mean anything. Revenue is just how much they brought in, it doesn't say anything about their expenses. Revenue is not profit.

But to your original point. AFKs issue is mostly considered taken care of. Yes it still happens, and yes individual afk experiences are very bad. But they are at a low level that just does not make the issue a priority. And to your actually idea. If anything that situation would result in a loss forgiven for the team mates of an afk not the person who did afk. Crashes are usually(not always) the result of your own computer not the client itself. Individual games have very little long term impact on your rank so there really isn't much reason to care about that anyway.

So you want them to throw money at their client until it works perfectly for you?

People are the resource here, not money. Feel free to vent, but if you're going to try bringing facts into this please learn about it a bit more so you bring the right facts. Programming, like many things, is something that suffers from having "too many hands in the kitchen".

And do you even understand what a full code rewrite would entail? Or how much time that would take?

I want them to actually give a shit about their players, but that's obviously a tall order. Clearly you don't want a stable game, and that's fine.

Really... Way to put words in my mouth.

Of course I want a stable game, and of course Riot cares about their players. You simply don't understand what it takes for them to fix every problem, and I highly doubt if you did understand you would want to wait that long.

I get the notion that you don't want a stable game because you're questioning my every response. It's like, why in the world would we ever want Riot to improve the quality of their game? That's what I've got from you.

Well if you're going to read into my words and get additional meaning from them I'm out. I try to be as blunt as possible so people don't get the wrong idea about what I'm saying.

If you reread my posts and take them for their literal meaning maybe I'll keep talking, but otherwise I'm done.

This is not possible. It's very easy to make a program crash by messing with it in various ways as an administrator account. So if you have a system that forgives leaves due to "crashes" l, people will abuse it to leave games without getting punished.

If your client is crashing all the time, try the Help+Support forum. There are lots of things you can try to do to narrow down what the problem is and fix it.
