I'd like to say some things about ARAM

I've been playing a bunch of ARAM recently (as I stay away from desperate players trying to meet their Ranked goal last minute), and I'm having a few issues with the mode;

Problem: Champion select is too short. If you are creating a custom Mastery page to fit the champion you are given that alone can take up much of the champion select, but when you add in communicating with your team for rerolls and trades the time is frequently very tight and often not long enough which results in incorrect Runes/Masteries/Spells.

  • Solution: Extend champion select by locking in the champions (trades and rerolls) at the end of the time limit then allow a little bit of extra time dedicated to setting up Masteries/Spells.

Problem: Sometimes you have to go through 5 champ selects before you can start a match! This is way worse in ARAM than it is in SR matches, and even with the already short champ select it makes the whole process way too long. The penalty is already 15 minutes the first time and 30 minutes the second, but it clearly isn't enough.

  • Solution: Increase penalties for dodging in ARAM. Incentivize not dodging by awarding a third reroll slot to people who haven't dodged in a while, until they dodge. Increase the penalty for dodging by adding higher tiers so that 30 minutes isn't the max.

Problem: ARAM accounts (accounts that own only the best champions for ARAM) skew win rates unfairly, making a fun mode not as fun as it should be. The people that have them are also probably dodge the most. The mode is also not nearly as random as the name suggests.

  • Solution: Unlock all champions in ARAM. No more ARAM accounts, the mode is more true to its name, and players get to more easily experience champions they don't own and aren't on free rotation, plus everyone can make trades with everyone else.

Problem: It's not easy to communicate to your team whether you want what they have or just don't want what you have, and that you will reroll one. This ties into the lack of time in champ select, but this process could still be streamlined despite increasing the time.

  • Solution: Add a button which indicates you wish to reroll the champion you're on. It can just be a die where the trade icon would be on your slot; clicking it will light it up and let your team know if they don't take it off your hands you'll be rerolling it.

Anything you'd like to add which you think will improve the ARAM experience? Anything here you think won't help or isn't a problem in the first place?

Would be nice if we can banned champion in our own roster, like if you have 10 champs you're allowed to ban 1 champ that you don't want play in ARAM. Example, if you own 120 champs you will have 12 bans. http://www.auplod.com/u/poldua8017b.png
