Chat on the website

I was wondering, or if any of the riot members ever discussed, creatingthe chat abilities on the website? I know some people who leave the game open just to chat or such as myself, I'm at work right now and I don't have the ability to enter League.

Seems like a really good Idea that would boost activity both on and off forums.
