Question for the Community. How do you react to a "Mute" Team?

By mute I mean a team that doesn't communicate.

I personally am a very team-work oriented player and I love communicating. "hey man, you need to do this", "LETS GET DRAGON", "i'm omw mid", etc... are all examples I say and what not. Would NOT COMMUNICATING be considered unsportsmanlike conduct? I am kinda in limbo on how to approach non-communicative teams as if I TRY to get them to talk, they usually become upset or report me or what not and respond, "STFU noob" or something pathetic. Would love the community response.

At first I thought this was going to be a request for a button that would ignore all the members on your team, I'm glad its not :)

I find SINGLE pings to actually be surprisingly effective at conveying your plan, thought spamming pings will get you nowhere. Not much you can really do beyond that, as you've experienced if you try to force it it normally ends in an unsolicited verbal assault.

I have no idea. I have, honest to god, had a guy who flipped the **** out on me, for me smart pinging, and asking him to go B. He went crazy, saying how I was trying to "micro his play." Like, as in me telling him, hey stupid, you are at 1/10th of your HP, are a squishy ADC, and you should probably go back to base. Nooo, I'm the bad guy! :/

I'd have to see actual in-game examples for those moments to give a more detailed response. If you say "Lets get dragon" and the enemy jungler is up, and super fed... It would make sense why people would be mute, and do what they want instead. If it's the perfect moment for dragon, and they are still mute there's a good chance those 4 are in a voip call with each other. Sadly this game gets played by teens who think the world revolves around their group, and the randoms they get matched up with gets treated like an outsider, and in most cases an enemy. Nothing can really be done about that unless humanity grows up.

As for "Hey man, you need to do this" that's another thing I would need to see. If the person is losing lane to a bad match up chances are they are really angry already. Anything aimed at them will be read in an angry tone so I would just change up the wording, or just roam to that lane to help out (If you are sure it will equate to a kill).

Sadly sometimes though there's nothing you can do. People in this game become toxic over everything. Pre-Jhin buff's I was playing him, and winning every game. Ran into 2 people who decided to flame me because Jhin is apparently "a bad adc" in the champion select screen. Turns out... You can't even pick champs you are comfortable with/want to play in normals without being flamed some times. The best you can do is report them, and hope Riot looks through the material when the report gets viewed by a human's eyes. If a team is ignoring your attempts at communication there's very little that you can do. =\

I really agree with this.. Whoever made this topic is reading my mind.. Your mid laner has already given 2 kills and doesnt have an answer for leblancs dmg, I say "Man pls go Abyssal scepter" and he is like "DONT TEACH ME NOOB" after that he sold his 1 ring to get chalice, Im guessing he heard me but his ego is too big to build the right item... Being communicative is the best thing you can do in solo Q or dynamic Q.. Sadly Ive never had a teammate who tells me a good choice of item Im so sad...

with u on this mute teams are never good but at the same time u can get those teams that just start an argument over it because of all the chat so for me I like a team the communicates and at the same time dose not over communicate

That's the issue! I feel like there needs to raise awareness about socializing! People usually don't communicate and it leads to more aggressive teamwork and its sad :/

This is true. Just said how there is no like, "middle group" for the in-game community. Either toxic or no conversation at all. (For the games that do end bad, for other games it is middle ground.)
