Fuck You Rito

So, over the last week I was dropped from SII to SIII. Then, I lost promos to SII on 3 separate occasions. Then over the course of 1 day I dropped from the 90 lp range to being demoted to SIV. And now, I have gotten 2 games in a row with intent feeders followed by a game with 2 afk's. One of which ragequit and mocked us at base the whole time. If you don't believe in Elo Hell then you are a dumbass.

Then, to top it all off, I get a 14 day account suspension for toxicity. I really hoped Dunkey would bring about some change to this r%%%%%ed ass system. Nobody deserves to be banned for talking shit on the internet. Nobody. Theres a mute button right there and you have no excuse not to use it if I'm saying something you disagree with. This is especially true when everything toxic I said was true. It wasn't death threats, it was saying that these stupid ass feeders deserve a ban. And they fuckin' do. Riot needs to get its priorities straight. This community is notorious and arguably one of the worse communities on the web today. But its not toxic people that are the problem: its shitty players. When the average CoD match has less trolls and terrible kids than a league of legends match you know something is wrong with your community.

Whats sad is that because its a free game the only people penalized are the hardcore players who are actually valuable to the community! Whats going to happen to the trolls who get reported? Maybe they'll get banned. And then what? Tho go onto a smurf account and troll some more. No waiting. No obstacles. Just right back into it. But for someone like me who wants to play ranked and improve myself, I have to either wait the 14 days or make a smurf and level him up to 30! So who's REALLY getting punished here?!?!?!!? The whole system is fucking asinine and I've been complaining about it for years. At this point I"m just about ready to tell riot to go fuck themselves and go play DoTA. I honestly like League's gameplay better, but I'm willing to sacrifice all of that for a community that takes this shit seriously.

I agree with you that feeders and trolls suck, and it's something Riot is working on with the newly rolled out detection systems (as of 5.18). That being said, regardless of how much of an ass someone's being it doesn't make it acceptable for you to start flaming them.

Nobody deserves to be banned for talking shit on the internet. Nobody.

You're welcome to go find places on the internet that feel that way, but League of Legends has its own ecosystem. Yelling at someone for little mistakes or calling a stranger a fucking moron is not accepted in actual everyday life, and it's not accepted here either. This isn't even necessarily Riot's policy, this is something that has developed from players' reports and calibration from the Tribunal (again, player input), which means that the majority of us don't want this kind of behavior happening.

Theres a mute button right there and you have no excuse not to use it if I'm saying something you disagree with.

The mute button is a last resort option, something you use to stop someone from continuing to ruin your experience. Having to use the report button is basically a response to something that has already been a negative experience, it's not a preventative mechanic and it's not a get out of jail free card for people to be toxic ("but they could have just muted me").

You can blame Riot all you want, but the bottom line is that players don't like being cursed at or flamed constantly. If you are having trouble with these guidelines and still want to play the game on your main account I'd suggest you take some time to figure out how to improve your behavior, because the next punishment after that two week ban will probably be permanent.

Sorry to hear that man :/

Ignore the neckbeard idealist white knights, this game is really shitty for solo players.

You know how you clicked "I agree" on every ToS with every patch?

Congrats, you entered a legally binding contract to play their game.

You may not feel like you deserve it, but it's within Riot's right to punish you for it.

I get being angry, anyone who says they have not became spitting angry by playing this game is a total liar. Honestly though what I am learning to do, and as hard as it is, try and get points across to people without being an asshole about it. Maybe try and find a method that will help you!

The problem is this: The face of this system, is toxic himself. On reddit and on the boards, Lyte has always given off a toxic nature himself, which is hypocritical when he's punishing toxic players. I have not read one post on reddit, or anywhere by him that promotes the attitude of "I hate toxicity" but the attitude of "I don't give a shit, I'm right, you're wrong, get banned"

Now, I do agree that there system is currently not working. Hots and dota2 right now have a better handle on the toxicity problem based on the fact that it's matchmaking system has built in solutions to some of the more popular triggers of toxicity aka AFK Trolls and intentional feeders. HOTS puts intelligent bots in the place of an AFK player, and if a player goes afk for too long, they are booted immediately and the bot takes it's place. Dota2 has an instant quit match solution to those that don't connect.

Mutes there for a reason yes, but it doesn't always work because It doesn't mute ping spams, and the toxic player causing your gameplay experience to be negatively impacted by feeding, stealing your CS,etc.

Also, Riot does not promote positive gameplay by the list of rewards. A useless summoners icon is not a valid reward, a skin or a champion on the other hand, is a positive reward as those start out at minimal 300+ RP (real money) where as an icon they can just throw up and not cost any money. Also, the fact that they decide to say rewards 2 weeks or so before they are given out does not help those of us that are reformed/reforming, as we are screwed out of the reward, even tho we are trying to turn ourselves around, which is the whole point of the system.
