Are riot holding back?

i have been playing league for a very long time now and i can honestly say that i like it. however very recently a friend came over and we spent the day playing smite. now i can honestly say that the Hi Rez studios put a lot more heart into their game than riot. the game just had so much more to offer. the different pings, the skins, the anouncers, everything, it was like when cod had so many unlockables. compared to league, the difference in what you could do was so big. i dunno, to me in that moment it felt like Riot were very arrogant and ignorant, like they thought they were so good that they don't have to do anything whilst Hi rez are constantly seeking to improve, i dunno that was the feeling i got in that moment, let me know your thoughts

they are releasing high quality skins, first this year we got hextech crafting, for s5 we got a new VU for the complete Rift.

i don't know what you want more, but this game isn't lacking content.

Recently I tried Awesomenauts and realized that other games have announcer packs and such...

But I can understand why Riot is holding back:

Priorities - just look around. Ranked is a dumpsterfire Worlds are knocking at the door, they do reworks, new client, new skins, chromas, hextech.... they have enough sht going on to finish or fix before they can do low priority stuff like voice packs. Sure Riot is big company but you don't want to head into too many directions atonce or you risk quite a failure.
Size - dont compare Riot to HiRez. Usually smaller studios can deliver stuff quicker because you dont expect them to do anything else or they do not work on huge projects. Imagine HiRez announcing visual update or recoding of the game. I am sure all the skins and goodies would stop coming until they finish. Riot just dumped new map on us new map while doing reworks skins and other stuff.

I agree they are slow in sooo many th8ngs and there is a lot they can add or improve.. On the other hand this is the bigest game in the world and changes may upset ppl. You have to plan cafuly and go step by step.
