Doesn't mean it shouldn't be up to debate as to how it fits INTO real life, it's just a discussion jeez...... And hate to break it to ya, games are in the real world.

nidalees spear obviously has magical properties..it does trigger "on the hunt" and makes her magically move faster...and i didnt even need lore to figure that one out, so maybe its that simple?

In all likely hood it probably is just there to balance the champions between physical and magical damage :-\
