People who thinks that "Ekko is balance" & "Ekko is easy to counter" never heard of this phrase
Easier Said Than Done
Ekko "mains" gonna be hating now.

After playing a lot of games against Ekko now, I have seen him good and bad but I still overall think the champ needs revising, but he has also only been out a few days so I am sure he will be fixed eventually anyways.
Ekko's only weakness I have seen is he can be poked down. You basically have to be a ranged champ to drop him. You have to have some move in the mid-long range area to be safe and bring him down. Its extremely difficult to kill him as a melee, if you have CC its possible but without it? Good luck, you have no chance at all unless you pull a LB and kill him in 1 ability. Anything in the close-mid range is basically a deathzone due to his kit or gap closers and slows and massive ratios.
His strengths which I think need to be revised is mainly his ult but also his passives. His ult needs a number changing since the ratio is just too much for what it does. It does even more than a Veigar ult which is one of the strongest in the game, it heals him for a massive amount, it makes him invuln, and can also be used as an escape. Something has to be removed or numbers changed to make it fair. People complain about Jynx being tough since at lvl6 her ult hits for about 400 average.....his hits for around 700+ at 6...at level 6 most people only have 800-1.5k hp. It either needs numbers lowered or remove either the healing part in my opinion. It would even make sense sense in the Seconds video, when he rewinded time, he still took the damage he took, when he got punched, his face still hurted badly, when his arm was crushed, it was still nearly useless, that damage didn't just vanish. His other problem is his passives, which he has 2 of. One of them is basically an execute under 30% max hp, not the end of the world, he just does more damage to you when you get low. But his core passive is broken, every 3rd hit he not only hits you for that execute damage, but he steals MS from you, going faster and making you slower, he already has basically every move he does is either a gap closer or slow, does he really need more? I think it is a MUST to at least remove the slow, let him deal the extra damage and get a TINY speed boost but no slow. They literally are mixing Jynx's passive and Zed's passive together here and making it even better ON TOP of adding a slow as well into the mix when he already has a better version of Jax's ult passive.
Ekko is incredibly easy to counter. I don't know what youre complaining about. He's one trick pony. His ult does great damage and increases his survivability by a ton, but it basically relies on your opponent being stupid and chasing you to deal any damage. Since its 4 seconds behind you, you either need to hold an enemy directly next to you for 4 seconds (which is unrealistic for a midlaner. they will either burst you or retreat) or have them chase you. Either way, its completely avoidable if you know how to play against him. And here is where he becomes extremely counterable...
Without his ult, his burst sucks. All his skills have low ratio's. Even poke only has a 20% slow and even hitting both parts of the ability (which, once again, is easy to dodge unless you are getting hit at point blank range) is only an 80% ratio. 80% is good, but its nothing compared to other 2 part abilities such as Ahri's q, which does 35% scaling on the first throw, and then 35% TRUE DAMAGE on the way back. On top of that, its significantly easier to land both parts. 80% is nothing. His w is incredibly easy to dodge and does no damage. its passive once again scales terribly and only activates when the enemy is lower than 30% HP. Essentially, its a poor man's version of fizz's Auto buff. His e gives him good mobility but, again, has terrible scaling. His passive does good damage but requires you to hit the same target 3 times to trigger. Jax or Dianna can do the same thing but are able to stack up 2/3 stacks BEFORE engaging.
So essentially, without his ult he is a poor man's fizz/dianna/akali. His abilities are easy to dodge, especially with high mobility champs such as Leblanc or Zed. He is mana hungry so he has to choose between buying sustain to stay in lane or buying damage to get the kill. He is easily poked down so champs like xerath or ziggs have a field day with him. Overall, I think he's a super easy champ to counter. He's only really good against slow/amobile champs like lux and mord. The problem is that everyone is complaining about him being "OP" during week 1 because nobody knows his tells yet. As soon as people learn Ekko's kit and can predict his moves, he's going to be an easy counter. Every champion gets labeled as OP their first week because people don't know how to play against them. Even Bard was "OP" week one, and look how wrong everyone was there. Just learn his kit and wait it out before complaining.
