The Summoner's Code vs Reality (lazily written)

1. Support Your Team:

• Being a good team player begins at champion select. Be open minded when considering the needs of your team. ----------- Reality: MID OR FEED, insta-lock, trolls.
• Warn your teammates if someone is missing from your lane ---- Reality: No mia pings ever.
• or if something is placing them in immediate danger ---- Reality: "Stop fcking pinging me back"
• Just remember that one ping is enough! ---- Reality: No one listens to pings regardless
• so don't leave the game or go AFK! ---- Reality: Afks every other game
• Encourage players who are having trouble --- Reality: "/all Report mid laner feeding," "/all Report x for y reason," "/all Report x for y reason," etc etc
• congratulate those who are playing well ---- Reality: Players who do well get congratulated
• if you're having a bad game don't take it out on your team! ---- Reality: Your team is having a bad game and you take it out on them

2. Drive Constructive Feedback

• Player feedback is an important force in the decision making process of Riot Games. ---- Reality: Vayne still not nerfed, riven still OP, fiora splash art, veigar stun still lame.

3. Facilitate Civil Discussion lol. We are talking about a community who will hold onto their opinion till death.

4. Enjoy Yourself, but not at Anyone Else's Expense Reality: Smurfs crushing low elo, trash talk from winning team in all chat, GG EZ.

5. Build Relationships I mean there are probably a million riven mains who are married to riven. Kappa

6. Show Humility in Victory, and Grace in Defeat Reality: GG EZ should've FF @ 20 noobs. Wow our 0-10-0 midlaner carried your team gg. Report x player for feeding

7. Be Resolute, not Indignant If you end up in a game with an abusive player, don't lower yourself to their level. Instead, politely ask them to calm down --- Reality: stfu everybody just report x player verbally abusive. /all report x player toxic af.

And remember, while nobody likes being insulted, it pays to take a moment to consider the circumstances. ---- Reality: butthurt boosted bronze being called out for being a baddie and types in /all chat report x player.

If you see a player having a bad game, or who clearly doesn't grasp the fundamentals of the genre, try offering some constructive advice --- Reality: Stfu i know how to play the game kid
