Someone shed some light on Reports

So i'm not really overly sure how reports work now a days, people call me the "F" word, and no not the one that rhymes with "ducker" the other one, and then they can give death threats and tell my team to go slit their wrists and die, we can all report that person, and nothing be done about it, i never receive the notification about this person even though they were reported by multiple people, and they stepped way out of line.

Now i ask a question in chat about turrets, why ours refuse to hit the enemies who are under it attacking us, and when they do hit them it only does minimal damage, but why their turrets are hyper active and do 1/3 of our life with every hit, and when this person begins to talk crap and claim they are right about what they DID NOT SEE HAPPEN because they were lolly gagging in LALA land, i can be reported for saying this person ignorant and it be called "verbal abuse".

This is what happened, we try to take a turret, it hits me twice for 85% of my health in 2 hits, about a minute later, The enemy anivia flaps under our turret gets hit 3 times and doesn't even take half her life in damage, and she had not a single defensive item at all, mind you this is literally 1 minute later, so there is no huge difference in items or health or anything to make our turret that completely worthless, plus i'm pretty damn sure an anivia with no defensive items, is not going to be tankier than a fiora with a black cleaver. So when i asked the question why our turrets were worthless and theirs were hyper active super cannons, this person decides to talk crap about something they completely missed and were not aware of, THE EXACT DEFINITION OF THE WORD IGNORANT.

Lets take a look at the word "ignorant" it means lacking knowledge or awareness in general, it is not an insult, it's stating the person did not have enough knowledge to be talking about what they decided to talk crap about in the first place. Calling a person "stupid" is an insult, calling them ignorant is not an insult, there for not verbal abuse, in no way shape or form. I did not use it in a derogatory form, i used it in a clear statement saying that this person completely missed my entire point, and that they did not pay attention to what i was asking. They then state they are reporting me when i said they were ignorant of the situation.

Now mind you, i get reported a lot in this game for stupid things that i never did, hell iv'e been reported for verbal abuse WHEN I NEVER TYPED A SINGLE WORD IN CHAT THE WHOLE ENTIRE GAME by someone who felt i didn't do enough in the game so they report me for verbal abuse since their is no more "unskilled player" report. I shouldn't even be seeing these reports pop up, because they are almost always false and not deserved, but because there are so many insecure little twerps reporting just to report because they can, i see this annoying little box show up every time, and all i can do is shake my head.

I never call people any inappropriate names, i never say anything dumb like "GG EZ" or get rekt or anything along those lines, the worse that i have called anyone for a long time is "ignorant" and in a situation where this person was truly ignorant of what happened, and i didn't CALL THEM IT, i stated they were ignorant of the situation.

Long story short, you can't be reported for stating someone was ignorant of what happened, i did not call the person specifically ignorant, i said they were ignorant of what happened, do i really have to type out "you were not aware of what happened, there for you do not have knowledge enough to talk crap" when it can be summed up with one word? Ignorance truly is bliss.

You know the phrase "think before you speak", well think before you report as well, because it's really annoying being reported for something that isn't reportable. Grow up kiddies, ignorance is not an insult, it's stating you don't have enough knowledge or awareness of something for you to talk about that something, didn't they teach you that in school?

I've started to find ( while it's not a very good solution) That just muting everyone on the map is always the best option, and then report them all afterwards in case they said something toxic. In fact it seems to be everyones default action currently.

It's great that riot wants to decrease toxic players, but when you tell someone who is BEING toxic to shut up and play the game and YOU get in trouble for it, yeah its gone a bit too far.....And I'm not seeing any changes at all. Still all kinds of toxic players.
