Do people realize what's the true purpose of getting a kill?

I continue to see people that chase half map to get a kill on a support. WHY they continue to do this...

THe true purpose of getting kills is to HAVE PRESSURE ON THE MAP for a limited time, yeah the gold is okay, but it's not what matters the most,

Then again i see players completely throw out the opportunity to get pressure and objectives just to get a kill and die 2 seconds later.

Please, wake up.

I'm pretty sure the purpose of getting a kill is to spam laugh or taunt.

If you could explain this tp annyone i get qued with id be a happier man

your really right

especialy when you just killed 3man and the entire team follows this zed into their jungle to try and get kil 4 while they could have gotten turret

now zed dies stays alive who cares 3 players already spawned.....

unless this kill particiler is gonne give you 10kills and 4k gold

its usualy not worth the chase

how ever there are more reasons to get kills

for example you could possibly burn an importand summoner and stuff to get a kill in lane early

enemy being death is not helping ypu get tower its to early

how ever from here on you have the lead and you CAN presure

i gues the keyword is always pressure its about taking away their presure (defend) Or putting presure on them

The point of a kill is to reduce the opposing defence around an objective.

See, I always thought that doing anything (going after an objective, getting a kill) is "putting pressure on the map", and that in every case the enemy can either challenge or let it go. Don't get me wrong though, I kinda agree with you. I was once on a team that had a 10k gold lead after 25mins despite being down 3 dragons and 4 kills. They thought we were losing, decided to pursue a Teemo kill across half the map, only for us to lose 2 inhibs and a nexus turret because the Tristana Ezreal were split-pushing bot lane (team also blamed me 100% for the loss afterwards, because my 8-1-12 record with karthus "reeked of nub" ).

Yeha, but the point is: YOu get a kill? They are in 4, they cant defend all positions like they did before, so taking objectives become much more important auotmatically.

Exactly like 2 army face each other in a war, if you lose one big chunk of it you wont be able to defend your positioning like before

Also, if youg et kills, you don't leave choices to the enemy team, you will always do the right move by taking objectives afterward

Chasing a Teemo is slightly more useful than chasing a Nidalee or a SInged.
