Notifications disappear after a few days even if they aren't resolved. I have a suggestion.

Ok, you guys know how when game breaking changes are found they'll put up a notification icon on the site and client? After several days, the notification will be removed even if it isn't fixed. (they do stay on the Service Status page though)

My assumption is that this is because if the notification is always up, people will stop checking it and new updates will be missed. This does cause the problem of people assuming the issue was fixed though, when it wasn't. This is where my proposal comes in;

##There will be a [New] and [Old] notification icon. All notifications that "expire" without being resolved will simply move to the [Old] icon. Both icons will be visible at all times for viewing (if there's an item in it).

Take the Zz'rot Portal bug for example; The notification initially only said it was broken and disabled. It was later added that it would be fixed in 6.4. Anybody that didn't read the update may assume it was fixed, and anyone that didn't see either may not know at all.

I went to build Zz'rot in a recent game and I couldn't. I'd built the components to it but because the note was missing, I'd assumed it was fixed.

My stupidity, but still.
