I play mostly bot games, and obviously bots and humans play nothing alike.
If I had to guess I would assume that, even if you don't realize it, you've gotten very used to the bot's patterns, so it is very easy for you to get tons of kills on them, but adjusting to how bots play and exploiting their universal weakness will never help you against real people. The best thing to do when you play a bot game is to focus on CS and pushing objectives, and worry about kills when the opportunities present themselves, don't go sniffing them out/chasing them.
I always try to play a bot game like it's a real match because I want it to be similar to training, but often I see people doing things that I have to assume would almost never work in a real match.
For example, people have now figured out how to kill the bots before minions spawn, or even intercept them behind their first turret as they come into the lane the first time. I've even seen mid-laners kite the bot through the jungle toward the bot's base. This gets you a huge advantage early and allows you to take many risks that you couldn't make in a real match, which is why I personally don't do it. If you play bot games a lot and do this every time, you're going to get used to that early game power spike (gold advantage/level advantage) that you probably won't ever have in a real match. A false sense of security.
This tactic would almost never happen in a real match cause the rest of the enemy team would show up. Best case scenario is a level 1 5 v 5. I personally hate it when people play bot games and just ignore laning entirely in favor of hunting down the bots that they've already killed 10 times just to pad their K/D/A numbers. Even if you're going for your first win bonus and it's the only reason you're playing a bot game, refusing to push the objectives in your lane actually makes the game take longer because someone else eventually has to do it for you. So yeah, you end up 41/2/10 but those numbers are meaningless because you didn't play anything at all like you would in a real match.
Another thing to keep in mind is, bots don't have a jungler, human teams do. This changes things a lot as far as where you can go and when.
Another famous "bots only" strategy that I see people doing is almost everyone takes teleport. So that they can instantly be back into the fight against bots that they're already like 10 kills up on. In other words, there's no risk involved in constant balls to the wall offense in bot games, and people know that, and they tailor their playstyle to take advantage of that so the game ends faster, but it will never help you in a real match unless you're way ahead or in voice chat with your fellow summoners. I've played games where 4 people took teleport. In a real match usually only the top laner will ever do this, and even then it's situational. You MIGHT see a double teleport game, but usually only if the team is a premade and/or very coordinated. Doing that in Solo queue is selfish and stupid. Unless you're the top laner, you'll get way more mileage out of heal, ignite, or exhaust, or possibly ghost depending on the character you're using.
Oh, and what's up with that game you played recently where you and your three friends all only bought 5 Doran's Blades and fed? That's toxic as hell and I hope that Xin Zhao player reported all of you. What were y'all like pissed because he insta-locked or something? If you're gonna play in a 4 man premade, you may as well do team builder, seriously.
