Not. Both games (and also Dota) have their strengths and weaknesses. They are not the same. If you spend any amount of time in other MOBA's you will notice things that are better and things that are worse, and also things with no comparison.

I enjoy LoL I enjoy HotS I enjoy Dota 2

HotS especially is different, and not any more of a competitor to LoL than Battlefield is. Don't discriminate, play them all!

I kinda play them all, but not as much as I play LoL. And I never "leave" the game for another game. "Leaving" games has such a weird connotation. Like you're having an addiction or you're a recovering alcoholic. I may be playing 5 games of League a day or 3 games a month, doesn't matter. I don't call it "leaving" the game. I play whatever I want whenever I want.

Very even-handed here. Good job. You caught me off-guard with this one, I was expecting a salty 'LoL sucks so bad' post but that's not what I got. I'm glad.

Just because I don't play LoL anymore, doesn't mean I don't have respect for the game's quality or success...

I think Blizzard amde the absolute right decision to not just copy LoL/DotA though... I don't think there's the potential for another MOBA made that way to succeed, the communities of LoL/DotA are too large and too dedicated to allow for another to get enough marketshare to succeed. Smite changed the formula a bit and has seen some success, and HoTS is changing it in a different way, so I have high hopes for it as well.

ive had HotS since early alpha. i've never played a worse MoBA in my entire life, and considering it's blizzard i highly doubt they will make it any better outside of graphical improvements. more than anything i just cant bring myself to support blizzard anymore. they're a terrible company. i also have a grudge against the maker of HotS - Dustin Browder. I blame him for SC2 ending up the way that it is since he was the lead developer.

wtb hots key pst will sing rap for it or maybe send you funny cat videos

lol

that said, im glad they are taking a different route, making objectives the central part of maps , most if not all are very interesting

ive been playing blizz games since...vanilla warcraft ( no not wow, talking about warcraft that you had to play in DOS) and ive never gotten into a beta, think the only one I actually got a key to on my email was the burning crusade back in the day, that was fun testing the enw content and reporting back to my guild ahhh good ole days of BWL awesomeness

but anyways....how would one get a hots key? just register for beta and hope?
