This "gift the birds" event is a funny way to do it. Rarely-used accounts signing in to gift a champ with ip, then immediately logging off. Wouldnt be hard to map who the smurfs are smurfs of (with moderate certainty).
Don't think they'd actually bother doing this, but the notion gave me a chuckle.
? There are thousands of way to identify smurfs.
The simple way you are typing in chat, the pace between 2 keys you press identifies you, your computer's serial number, your windows license, your IP, your key bindings, they way you play....
No need to go that far, if you quick/smart cast on new accounts, 9 out of 10 you're smurf.
To clarify: if they wanted to identify who a given smurf belonged to. Hence why i dont see why theyd bother.
