Banner that says "UPGRADE YOUR TRINKET"

This could be a thing that flashes on the screen every minute after you hit level 9 and havent upgraded your trinket.

It could also just be a simple reminder to upgrade them. Most dont even remember and have to be reminded. Others will pay the gold just to get rid of the annoyance. It's a nearly flawless system.

Any thoughts?

isnt that then some sort of ... idk... call it a skill level.. people who know to upgrade trinks for a small price then are better players vs those that do not upgrade when the moment is right in a game?

The upgraded green trinket is the best item in the game. Flat out.

How the banner should work:

Level 9: Upgrade your trinket

Level 10: No seriously, upgrade your trinket

Level 11: Wow, you're kidding me right....

Level 12 (If Deaths > Kills): Dude, could you not be so stubborn....? (Kills > Deaths): You're just lucky, upgrade it already....

Level 13 (Deaths > Kills): Now who's fault is it to blame for your KDA, huh? (Kills > Deaths): Stop being cocky, it's only 250 gold.

Level 14 (Deaths > Kills): You're hopeless. Just surrender. (Kills > Deaths): I hope you lose.

But upgrading your trinket is not always the right way to spend your gold. Why should people who are making proper use of their gold be annoyed?

Honestly none of this would be an issue if Riot would just suck it up and give a proper tutorial, given all the aspects of this game you don't actually learn about unless someone else tells you.

There should be an extended tutorial for basic stuff, similar to the current one (not that b.s. with the game telling you to build Ashe with Thornmail, but the "battle" tutorial.).

Should be some things telling you about trinkets, which there is nothing of, telling you about bush vision better, making you place a ward for example, or some little mini tutorial saying "buy the warding trinket - now place it is" then something like "the enemy has placed a ward in x bush. Sweep the bush and kill the ward", in that female announcer voice.

There is plenty they should do, and these tutorials would teach new players this stuff and help reinforce it for others. As it is now people just do whatever and try to copy the pros in the most awkward and ass backwards ways, and end up doing none of it correctly, or at all, because they don't know why people do it.

You can't force a player to update their trinket. It is their own choice, just like itemization. You might as well add flashy banners that say, "You need to buy x wards yet for this game!"

Simply ask your team nicely. "Hey guys, please upgrade your trinket when you b so we can prepare for drag/baron" usually works for me. Don't be a jerk, don't annoy them with it, and make the reminder convenient - when they're already on their way to the fountain.

It would be annoying as hell if you simply don't have the correct amount of gold to do so.
