@Riot and Interested Community about the nearing closure of Dawngate
I adore League of Legends. It's my go-to game for whenever, whatever, and with whoever. But, needless to say, it CAN be improved. When I was in a rut, and finding League to be more a job than a game, I turned to other Mobas... Dawngate was one of them.
I spent 4 months playing it, alongside other things. In comparison, it had its ups and its downs... But, holy lord, if I die saying these as my last words, Dawngate had it going: An amazing team of developers (Hint), a great set of interactions between characters, with announcers and in-depth, characteristic, lovable, loathable, adorable, deplorable personalities, and... well... Lore.
Not to harm the current Lore team's plans or status as fantastic writers... but they had a plan going, and let the community know and decide what the hell was going on.
That's besides my point.
The moral is, Dawngate had ideas, possibilities.. Hell, they would've been the only possible serious competition in your market (Strife being a more coloured Moba, Smite being very different, DotA being VERY difficult, and Heroes of the Storm not being a true Moba.)
If you guys could... I don't know. Just take these words into account from someone who experienced something great, and saw oppurtunties to let other surpass to points they could not achieve.
Rest in Peace.
May you heed my advice, as your target audience, a devoted fan, and an oppurtunist.
