Idea for a mode?

I was recently playing a game called Ogre Battle 64 (Perhaps you've heard of it) in between league and starcraft 2 when I thought "Hey... Why not both?"

This mode is focused similar to a 5v5 1 base RTS, where your team must take objectives that do not push lanes (Baron, Dragon, Buffs, Monsters, Kills). These award points to the performer, who may return to base and purchase special minions that replace siege minions and super minions. These minions count as "additional champions", and may be promoted to stronger and stronger forms. Each member of a team may have 1 minion that may carry 3 items of his own, which are purchased with points and not gold. The minions may NOT respawn freely, and require points to resurrect, scaling per level.
