It's all about the opinions. People who agree will upvote and those who disagree will downvote. Having an unpopular opinion shouldn't discourage you.

I ask people if they think Rank 6 mastery is too easy and it got down voted 5 times

And you assume getting Rank S or S+ is considered too easy for everyone because....? Not all of us are you, okay? Don't get cocky there.

It's just people saying they respectfully disagree, but have nothing further to add to the conversation. Don't take it personally.

A lot of players either A) don't play too many different champs, so don't have enough chests to have the essence, or B) play champs where they take a lot of deaths for the team and don't get S grades.

The system is based off the averages other people get for your champion. So it won't penalize for not having a lot of kills on soraka or a lot of deaths on sion.
