Why are Bronze, Silver and Gold players getting end-season rewards?

They have mechanics worse than beginners bots and at best are below average, or at worse, unbelievably abysmal, at this game. So, why are we rewarding terrible gameplay? If you're below Platinum, you still haven't even grasped the basics of this game.

Platinum is a very "OK" division; there's a huge diversity in skill level, but overall, players are just decent and understand how a game is won, sans trolling. Nevertheless, you are in the top ~8% and can feel some level of accomplishment, unlike the Bronze/Silver/Gold.

I find it interesting that someone who obviously has no understanding of the game is passing judgement on people who do. It is also funny to see how you make generalizations about entire groups of people who you don't know, nor have ever played with. I promise, people who have been playing for 5 years, even if they are in gold, understand the game. It is entirely possible to have an amazing understanding of the game and still not have the mechanical skill to reach higher elos. How about before you go and generalize and put down entire groups of players you figure the game out yourself.
