@Riot - What's your stance on people sitting there taunting at the end of the game

and not fucking ending it? Seriously, it happens in every other game. It's insulting, rude, and wastes a lot of time that I'd rather not spend in a lost game.

When people have by all rights, won the game. We're all dead. The nexus turrets are gone. Super minions will not finish the game, because we'll spawn before then, but they can easily take the nexus and finish it instead of sitting there taunting or suiciding on the fountain.

Show humility in victory, and grace in defeat.

If your opponent won't show you theirs, be the better person and hold up to the values anyway.

To me there's a difference between /dancing by the fountain for 30s while minions take out the nexus, and dragging out a win for 10m to spawn camp.

You can always surrender if your team agrees the match is lost.

If it's really bothering you, report them for negative attitude. If they're really obnoxious and do it all the time they'll get in trouble.

Have you seen this community? If 1 person asks for a surrender, there will be at least two people on your team who will vote no just because you want to surrender.

If it's really bothering you, report them for negative attitude. If they're really obnoxious and do it all the time they'll get in trouble.

They have pretty damn detailed match histories now too. Riot has stated they actually have more detail than the history website shows, they just don't want people to be able to figure out exactly how a random person plays.

If they get 20 reports against someone and they all say "spawn camped and taunted me", they're probably going to look into it. Players have been banned for ability griefing and even spamming emotes.

There were a few Tribunal cases that got punished where all the games were every player reporting that the accused player was spamming emotes all game long.

The existence of a mute button doesn't mean you can go around being a jerk.

And it's actually it's that thread with the epic WookieeCookie "don't be a jerk" post where he talks about how if people abuse game systems they'll ban them rather than remove useful features that can occasionally be abused.

I even spent some extra time looking up this player's past harassment history. This is not an isolated 5 games this player has done this. He has repeatedly found ways to annoy and harass other players. That's the main reason he has a tribunal case in the first place.

He wasn't just punished for spamming emotes. He was banned for numerous reasons, and emote spam was a single one.

Also, this was at least a year before muting emotes was a thing.

All the games in the linked case (which was punished by Tribunal) were emote spam with nothing "incriminating" in the chat logs. I've seen a few others like that too, also ones with people complaining about ability griefing with Anivia or Trundle. Occasionally people would show up and try to contest them, which was always amusing. No, Virginia, you were not randomly falsely reported in every single game you played for griefing.

Riot has been very clear that neither "they can just mute me if they don't like it" nor "you can't ban me for using a game feature" are excuses for bad behavior.

I know what Riot's position is, but muting people who emote spam is now a factor they could consider when receiving reports for it, but using examples before it existed is not doing any good.

Getting surrenders out of teammates is a pain, but Riot has enough telemetry data to detect that shit really easily. Actually, detecting this kind of behavior is stupid easy. If people are standing behind the nexus, not attacking or zoning anything (none of my teammates are up), and they could be hitting the nexus, odds are, they're being dicks. This is a very simple check, and is not likely to catch all cases, nor is it likely to filter some false positives, but I'll say with certainty that Riot can very easily detect it.

I don't really give a damn if the supers are going to take it out. However, when dragging a win out for 5+ minutes starts getting stupid.

Given the amount of talk about not being an ass riot puts out, I would think that this is covered. That isn't an offensive action, but it is rude, and poor sportsmanship. It's a sort of kick em when they're down, and is entirely antagonistic. You can defend it all you want, but I'm just going to assume that you are one of the dicks who does this and that you'd rather not be banned.

If there weren't so many whiners, none of this would be a problem. Seriously, how old are you people. I know majority are at least in high school and older. For that reason alone, letting little things like emotes and abilities being used bother you shows you are very immature and sensitive. I say immature because you LET this stuff bother you. Online communities catering to children when the majority are not children, and those children are not going to be spending money, is pretty stupid. When you have as many people as league does, and you want to try and stop people from swearing and saying rude things, well, that's not going to happen. What are they going to do, ban everyone that swears?? If they don't want people to spam emotes and abilities because some man child gets butt hurt, they shouldn't put those features into the game. If they don't want people to troll other people in chat, remove the chat. Banning people for these things becomes stupid considering the number of players that play every day. It's an online game with A LOT OF PLAYERS and all types of attitudes and opinions, there is no way to control them all, and no point in saying you're only getting rid of the really bad ones, because there are a lot of very mild cases that end with bans mainly because YOU HAVE THE SAME PEOPLE MAKING REPORTS AGAINST OTHER PLAYERS FOR NO REASON AS YOU HAVE IN THE TRIBUNAL SPAMMING THE PUNISH BUTTON.

If swearing offends you, turn your filter on. If someone is verbally attacking you, mute them. If someone is emote spamming, grow a pair.

and if they refuse to end the game? You can't filter it or mute it, and your team won't surrender half the time anyway. This is a waste of my limited time at the end of the day. That is the biggest reason I have a problem with it. I don't give a damn if people want to emote, I give a damn about them wasting my time.

Instead of paying attention to the point of my post, you're cherry picking it to make a petty personal attack. I know how to mute assholes. I sincerely don't know whose ass you pulled swearing out of. Seriously, swearing? I stopped being offended by that shit like 8-9 years ago.

Also, the tribunal has been down for a while. A large portion of the banning is handled automatically by lyte's systems. I get that you're upset that I'm complaining about someone's dickish behavior. You want to have the option to occasionally troll some people. Take it up with the summoner's code, since that is what Riot supposedly weighs your behavior against.
