Tryndamere - the ONLY champion not seeing pro-play since 2014

The last time he was played was at TSM vs GG at Worlds 2013, and after that, he's just lost in memories. While the following champion whom were also considered "forgotten" has at least seen one play later than Tryn's:

Isn't it about time that Tryndamere needs to get some kind of update? At least alongside Aatrox's ~~shitty~~ mini-update? Also, just for reconfirmation, is Tryndamere one of the champion to be included in the Diver's Update?

Tryn doesnt really need an update, he actually is pretty strong. I feel pro teams dont want to commit on splitting too much, as thats what you do when going for him. But as aatrox was played in EULCS today - watch that game and imagine it wouldve been a tryn instead of an aatrox. I feel that if he gets picked once (considered theres a valid strategy backing it) - he could make a huge comeback especially as rumble is a meta pick right now.

His only damage is through AA only, and can be easily kited & shutdown by CC. That's nothing "strong" at all, except at low elos.

Thats why he splits, and thats why i said that its a huge commitment by the team. He is , depending on matchup and teamcomp, one of, if not the best splitter in game. His teamfighting, as u pointed out, is bad due to what you said, but not fundamentally worse than aatrox. With cdr build tryn can dash every 4.x seconds, when criting a champ (not that unlikely) that cd goes down by 2secs per bit. In a 1v1 or even 1v2 (which is what u want anyway) it becomes allmost impossible to kite him - ad his w slow and botrk and u get the image. The pushspeed due to low e cd and items also is top notch. Due to the fact that he can go full ad, his dmg on structures also is immense. U cant ignore him. The time aatrox was alone bot, tryn wouldve allready torn down the inhib. Now think about him having a winning lane, which should be a given when picked as a suprise into smth like a rumble or camille. If played correctly it gives your team a 4v3 advantage or they need to defend and hold obj in a 5v4 for a certain amount of time for tryn to turn the enemy base into dust. Its a huge risk tho and reqs a team thats build around him. That makes him not a pick or bann candidate, but defenitely a possible suprise pick that could work.
