@ Riot Regarding Nasus' updated Splash.

It seems to me that there's been a push to make him 'less frightening', which I don't see any reason for. (2nd champion I ever bought, first I ever did well with, so I am emotionally invested in the character.)

He's never been the 'nice' character. Nasus' lore describes him as not only an intellectual, but also a war leader, as he fought against Renekton and other rebels of the animalistic race, even going as far to 'kill' Renekton, and nearly kill the summoners who pulled him out of the war upon realization that they had prevented him from doing so.

Nasus' quotes and abilities describe a much darker, neutral creature than most seem to believe. Nasus eats souls, saves them in his halberd, and ages his opponents; he brings death and is completely at ease with it.

It seems that everyone is trying to make it seem like Nasus has always been this completely lawful-good character, but I would argue that he is, and has been from his conception, lawful-neutral. He does have a temper, witnessed by the initial summoners, and is not beyond being pushed to anger.

Please leave his eyes red. Nasus' eyes have always been red. In fact, I would argue that his red eyes are the most distinctive part of his splash art, as on the minimap they show through his portrait and literally scare the mess out of me as an ADC, usually. There is no reason to take away this very identifiable aspect of him.

I also see no reason to remove his very visible fangs - I frankly swooned a little when I saw them, because I feel they complemented just how terrifying Nasus can really be, and I loved that Riot was finally recognizing this part of the character. I'm not quite sure why they would reduce it and change his expression; to me, he just looks frightened and a little worried in his new splash art now, as opposed to a confident fanged grin before. There is no reason for Nasus to doubt himself; he has been a leader in the past and remains one on the Fields of Justice. Let him be ferocious.

TL:DR Overall, I really enjoy what Nasus' VU is doing with him, in terms of making him a more robust character and generally communicating how the fantasy that he brings to the game; of a soul-eating 'god' who strikes fear into the hearts of his enemies (and I will definitely be buying Infernal Nasus, as that's how I've always envisioned him); but please, at the very least, leave his eyes red. There is no reason to make his splash art so 'tame.'

Really needed to get that off my chest. Love this character too much.

I didn't really understand why people were making Nasus out to be some kind of benevolent benefactor when the VU rolled through. I think it's just the calmness in Gene's VO that makes people forget what he's actually saying.

Almost every single one of his lines involve death, withering, wasting away, etc. To be honest, his lore as a librarian doesn't suit his lines and skills at all.

Nasus brings death. He's not Renekton, who revels in carnage and bloodshed. Nasus is finality. He is the end.
