I am silver 1 and idk if this is normal, but im getting matched up with plat 5/4 and a few gold here and there. IS it even possible for me to be matched with/against them since they made the ranked ques only having people duo with one tier above/below. I get that a gold may duo with the plat. but why am i being matched up with them?

I mean the majority of the people ive been playing against were gold but since i started playing ranked again theres been more plats showing up.
It would appear to be the system thinking that you deserve to be higher then you are if it's matching up with far higher players. You're mmr must be a lot higher than it other people in that rank.
I suppose so. Is there any definitive way of me finding out my mmr? im trying to get to gold the easy way....
