I heard that they allowed a chronically ill man to watch the movie pre-release as his dying wish. I just have to wonder what a letdown it would have been for that guy if the new movie ruined the franchise. Seriously, if they nuked the fridge, then I am sure that poor man is spinning in his grave right now.
