"stfu"
If that's your response to someone asking you to group up, stop chasing, defend a turret, or not focus a tank, you're probably playing the wrong game.

Eh,the community could learn from this.
I respond with something similar to that if someone who has been really toxic is telling me what to do.
Had this one game with or Mid choosing Zed, knew right away he was going to be toxic or annoying at the very least because he was bragging he was streaming and was actin all high an mighty about it. I was against Renekton so i chose Garen, i main Garen Top and am confident in my abilities to beat Renekton. I chose Ignite and Zed told me "Hey stephenwhatever, if you are Top then take tele not ignite. Ignite isnt going to help you." to which me and some of my other teammates replied "Ignite can be better on Garen then Teleport." he didnt believe me but whatever i didnt care. The game started and he decided that telling me how to play once wasnt enough and started saying "Ignite is useless top, i bet Ignite wont help you once." To my embarrassment i ended up giving them First Blood, i went to flash Q Renekton but hit a minion instead and died. After that i murdered him over and over again, of course with the help of Ignite cutting down on Renektons ability to heal with his Q. Meanwhile Zed is chain feeding Ziggs and still thinks he has the right to tell me how to play... So after awhile of him rapid fire typing telling us we should all do and how we suck i told him to "shut up". See my score was 13/7/0... his score was 1/9/4 and that one kill could have been a double kill but he ulted Morgana instead of Ziggs (both were below 300 hp) then blew all his abilities killing Morg and let Ziggs get away even though Morgana doesnt have an escape (her flash was down and Ziggs Zhonya's was down).
So in this kind of situation anyone telling me how to play and yet they are bad, toxic, or dont know what they are talking about i will tell them to stfu, because their terrible commands are why we are losing.
Naturally I don't listen to players that don't do that well in game. If they're feeding and being toxic they lost their rights to tell me what to do in game. Most players saying "group up" in the lower elo are toxic buggers that already been feeding and thinking mid lane wins all games even while behind.
Depends how the person "asks" it.
If they are a prick about something that they keep harping on for 5 minutes then they deserve a stfu, and I'll do the opposite of what they want.
I also get: "Stop flaming!" quite as many times.
Exactly.
"stfu" is what 12 year olds say. When I don't like someone talking to me I mute them. Let me tell you this, no responsible person is going to say "stfu" unless they're joking.
hey kid...............stfu
I reserve suggestions and requests for after I've seen how my teammates play and how well they perform. I'll quietly note their mistakes and wait to see if they repeat those mistakes. If a re-occurring mistake starts costing us, I'll politely give voice on the matter.
I'll say things like.
"We need to push when they're all dead." If my team has won a few team fights, but then decided to farm, get dragon, or just B to get an expensive item.
"Please stop trying to backdoor. They're expecting it." If, after two or more attempts by our Yi to backdoor, ended in his death.
"We need more wards." If no one on the team wards and it ends up getting us killed.
I try not to lose my patience and, if I've nothing positive to say after a preventable loss, I just leave the post-game chat because the last thing I want to see are my opponents congratulating each other on beating me.
Knowing how it feels to lose, I don't say things like "GG" or "WP". I congratulate specific team members for their accomplishments. I don't engage a beaten adversary in conversation unless they speak. Unfortunately, most instances of this are one opponent insulting one or more people on their team and I'll say something like, "That's uncalled for" or "The only thing that 'sucks' around here is your attitude".
why do people even say "stfu" to begin with. it just ruins team chemistry.
if u dont want to hear someone, mute them.
if u got nothing nice to say, dont say it at all.
better to be quiet than a jerk.
I get reported for asking for help. I'm close to being permabannrd now
Unless you're one of those people who can't stop telling everyone else what to do
I split a lot, not because i like to split push or i'm on split push champions, but because my team likes to group when we have 20 minions at our top and bot towers, mid is already pushed up and cleared and there are no objectives up to contest. When people tell me to group, i usually just ignore it unless its actually makes sense to group. If someone asks me to group i'll almost always respond regardless of if its stupid or not. A bad call everyone follows is better than the good call no one does.
I agree. I hate people that are spamming "stfu." I will say it, like Stephen said, in similar situations. But when it is abused, it is annoying and unjustified.
You what else is a bad response to someone asking you to do any of the above? Saying nothing at all and completely ignoring them. Not typing in the chat, not pinging, absolute silence. Because even when I mute everyone on my team (which I'm starting to do more of now at the beginning of every match) and I say nothing the entire match, I still use the pings, so at least I'm communicating.
it is no ones duty to respect your opinion or advice do not give it without being asked
As a Dominion player I listen to this a lot. Especially from "high" ranked players that think their ranks does any difference there. They also say I'm flaming when I ask a champion with high mobility to get sweeper and hunt shaco or just to not stand under the tower because you are telling your enemy where you are.
I feel like if I ever say "stfu" then you have done or said something to lose my respect. I don't usually flip out like this, but if I do, I have my reasons. I only use team chat to make a point, talk strategy and sometimes have fun, but if people start criticizing and making accusations then I will let them know just once that they need to be quiet.
If people are telling you this a lot than maybe you should stay out of chat for a while.
When I said a full AD

Just because she got all Kills from me, a support.
