Is it just my games or are people surrendering more often lately?
Compared to last season it seems like people are surrendering way more often. Maybe they just finally learned to fear the fish?

I'm noticing a slight trend too.
The most annoying part is when the enemy team is at your nexus turrets or nexus and your team wants to surrender. I mean, dear god, just wait ten seconds. I prefer having proper IP gains, win or lose. Not to mention you're basically admitting your salt by doing that.
It's all the loser kids playing during the summer. If they aren't up 10 kills and 3 dragons at 20 minutes, they want to surrender.
I haven't been playing much on the rift since Legend of the Poro King, but lately i've been playing on the rift with friends and there have been a decent number of enemy team surrenders (especially when we do bot lane cheese like voli singed or mao blitz)
i had a game where the enemy team hadn't killed any of our turrets and we were pushed to their base. 3/5 of the team wanted to surrender because i was jungle zyra. we won but it's sad that they wanted to give up for a nonsense reason.
when ranked was down i did team builder, and like every game was surrendered at 20 even if it was a close game. was strange.
with matchmaking you will lose half your games no matter what you do. that means every time you win, you have to pay for it with a loss. if you surrender on your losses, you can spend more time winning than you do losing.
even if you still could win the game, you should surrender. winning is only going to cause you to take a loss in the future. I surrender every chance I get.
I don't know about surrendering but i have noticed more people start to troll or afk if they get behind in game more often. 2/4 game on SR last night had one afk because our mundo killed jungle
