Getting sick of the Support Abuse. You trash me, dont expect me to help.

Seriously, its getting fkin rediculous. I played a support as Thresh. We were doing pretty good. I was able to land quite a few hooks. as a support I dont think I did too badly at 1/6/19 But just as we were about to charge the base, Brand and Rengar suddenly turn on me. Insulting and degrading me because...I didnt have a sightstone. Yeah I know I didnt have it. I was trying my best not to FEED, to stay alive so I could help THEM get kills. ANd I would buy wards to help with vision. But again. None of that mattered. Everything I did as a support, to help keep them alive, to help get them kills by landing hooks for them. NONE OF THAT MATTERED. suddenly it became "You dont know how to play support" "you dont know how to play league" among other insults. and I suppose those times I hooked an enemy so brand and rengar could pick up an easy kill meant nothing. Seriously..its FKIN SICK the ammount of abuse supports have to put up with. all so the rest of the team can strut around going "Look how great I am with my kills (Brand and Rengar were both well over 20+ kills. 25 and 22 respectively) But my contribution as the support means nothing because I didnt build how -EVERYONE ELSE BUILDS-

Part of the reason builds arent just "one set of items for support, one for mid, one for top,,etc.." Is because..and here is the shock. NOT EVERYONE IS THE SAME!. Everyone has thier own build strategy, thier own build path. and consider this a warning. If you throw me under the bus because I "didnt build proper" aka like everyone else, dont expect me to suddenly run to save you when you get your bacon handed to you. I do my best to win. But I am not going to be some doormat for you to walk all over and abuse just because I helped get you fed and now you think you are 'Gods gift to league".

Get over yourself, its a team game. Leave your over-inflated ego at the door. and STOP ABUSING YOUR SUPPORTS

I agree, they sound like twats... but realistically, sightstone is a pretty necessary item for any support. lol

If its really needed I will get it, but usually I will pick up a quick ward on my way out to lane. But I have to keep myself alive as well, so have to by defenisive/offensive weapons or how else am I going to survive. If I die? how am I supposed to help pull teammates out alive or help them get kills. But to essentially throw all my contributions to the team out the window, to tell me I dont know how to play support, or play league at all? Just because I didnt have a sightstone? and then to turn around and start insulting and degrading me when I refuse to come be thier little cannon-fodder?

thats just...No, I wont have that. If it means a loss? oh well, maybe then they will not treat thier support like trash I reported them both for thier verbal abuse, But the thing is, this happens far too often. Dont build how everyone else builds? dont immediatly throw yourself to the other team so your adc can escape? (I have been told that "You are support, your role is to die so adc can get fed")

I'm not saying you should build like everyone else, but a sightstone is the one key item every support should get, no matter the circumstances. You ended up winning, and I don't doubt you had some good pulls, but placing 4 wards an entire game is wayyyyy below what you should be doing. As a support I place at LEAST 30 wards in a game. In a 50 minute game, I'd generally be at 45-50 wards, depending on how the game is going. 4 wards is honestly lower than any lane should placed. Even when I ADC I try to throw down at least 10 per game, which is super low.

I am sorry they treated you like shit though. That isn't acceptable no matter the circumstances.

I know, and I will admit I could have placed more. but after they threw me under the bus and disregarded all my effort,I kinda just gave up. the way I saw it, If they wanted more vision, they could provide it themselves. Sinse anything I did ended up being "moot"

Yeah maybe a bit childish. but being told I am trash or dont know how to play league for not having ONE item...kinda broke my brain.

10 green wards is 750g A sightstone is 800g and allows for more wards so you can buy a sweeper to destroy enemy wards. Gold is precious and unofficially the sightstone is the support's version of a jungle item.

To me, a sightstone is the holy grail for a support.

But other people should ward too :V

The sightstone is complimentary and efficient for supports, but it should not be treated as a crutch for the team.

Yeah thats the thing, this constant Idea that "Warding the map? thats SUPPORTs job, Not mine" Yes I do try and get a sightstone when I can. but for all the greif I get, all the verbal abuse. People arent even willing to UPGRADE A FREE TRINKET. I litterally had someone tell me that Upgrading was "too expensive" I suggested Upgrading his trinket to help deal with a rampaging teemo, and he comes back with "250g, Not free. NVM" and People feel like not having a sightstone gives them permission to insult, degrade, tear them down, and dismiss ALL of thier contributions to the team. All because they didnt have ONE specific Item...out of How many items in the shop?

Wtf... I understand how you feel. iF they can't spend 250 gold, then why the hell do they expect you to spend 800 when you don't even get farms/kills?

I mean, I was the same way. But I got over it because I figured that at a sightstone was better than absolutely nothing on the map...

Sometimes, I play an AP bully bot lane instead of a true support with my friends, and instead of sightstone we both (gasp, a carry buying wards?) buy wards and upgrade trinket ASAP. It's not as efficient, but we're not there to play passively anyway :P

If I were you, I'd switch to ADC for awhile. A lot of ADC players don't really ward, so whenever I play with a decent support we have incredible vision control due to my contributions (fun fact: a ward here and there does not impede your build. Five pots is a bigger waste than three with a ward if you're going to get ganked!).

Yeah I now. Was Top lane who kept dying to teemo, started cursing up a storm complaining about teemo's shrooms and such I told him "If you upgrade your free trinket to a greater vision totem, its a recharging pink that will let you see teemo's shrooms before you run into them" he says ok, then comes back with "250g, Not Free. Nvm"

I mean if you arent willing to actually Do something to Counter teemo's shrooms, like upgrading a free trinket for 250g. Then you really have no place to complain. and yet again, People will tell me I dont know how to play support because I dont build sightstone Right off the bat. And these people who are unwilling to even upgrade trinkets, believe that "Ward the map? thats SUPPORT'S JOB"

I watch the map, I pay attention to the movement and such so I am pretty good at predicting enemy movement.. And Yes if I am able to, I will try to get a sightstone, sometimes I am unable to get it first because of other conditions (like a troll bot lane that forces me to prioritize defence, or take over the role of adc)

Listen, it's not fair for you to abuse anyone to upgrade their trinkets when you rarely use them yourself. According to the match history,

Xin bought a sightstone and warded 29 times. Lucian warded 15 times Rengar warded 15 times Brand warded 9 times And you warded 4 times

In a 52:55 game.

Right now, ignore all the abuse and accept the fact that this is something that you should improve on. I'm not trying to be rude. I'm just speaking from experience. Vision is your best friend in this game. The more information you see on the map will help you win games!

I will admit its useful, but again there is this notion that warding is -solely- support's job. and they use it like a weapon. the rest of the team feels like they dont have to ward, they dont even have to upgrade thier trinkets. But Support who doesnt automatically buy a sightstone first item and ward the Entire map themselves? Well that support is trash, that support doesnt know how to play their role, doesnt know how to play league"

I think you could learn a lot from watching professional matches and reading some guides. You've played too many games for me to think you aren't that interested in the game, so I think you should take a little time outside the game to improve.

You can watch Worlds on the esports page, you can watch some popular streamers on Twitch (make sure it's a high elo player and not just a popular troll like Kaceytron), and read guides for your role and champions on sites like Mobafire. You can also spectate high elo games from the client front page.

I promise you, from the rank you're at right now, you'll improve far more by watching people that know what they are doing rather than continuing to play with people that don't.

Me and my stepdad actually are watching worlds (he is rooting for SKT, I backed KT Rolster) so yeah we are watching the match. But every game I go into, the teams I get dont want to win. The match I was in was basically a "pissing contest between Brand, Rengar and Xin to see who could have the best KDA, Who could brag about having more kills" Thats part of the reason I just gave up and stopped trying to ward. They thew me under the bus while bragging about how many kills they had. So yeah...things happened >.<

I looked at more than just your last game. You never build much that makes sense, rarely ward, don't pick the most effective summoner spells, and I didn't check your Runes and Masteries but those could probably be more effective too.

If you just followed some guides you'd improve very quickly, I promise.

As for asshole players, just mute them. It'll make your games more enjoyable if you silence toxic people right off the bat.

Doesnt matter what I do, this community is so toxic and childish I could improve 10fold and these spoiled brats would still be raging at me. Yes my builds dont make sense. Because I have to build whats best for my strategy. I build what is needed, not what everyone else builds. And that falls in line with what I said, there are so few actual players that will do what I can to help my team, But as far as Builds go, I build to protect MYSELF. I know my logic doesnt make sense. But I am just sick of the abuse even if I try and build properly. This community is so toxic I can only focus on protecting myself, Thats what I build for, MY OWN SURVIVAL. I am not going "build tanky" so that when I finally do die my team can turn around and tell me how much I suck because I have X number of kills (its happened)

If you were my support and didn't build a sightstone, I wouldn't respect you nearly as much despite your plays. It's incredibly way more efficient, and since everyone else may not always have the left over gold or item slots to buy wards, and can't upgrade their trinkets until level 9, sightstone for support is pretty necessary.

Plays or no plays, vision is incredibly crucial. And you know what they say, "one of the reasons some people can't climb out of bronze/silver is because they waste their gold income" and as support, your gold income is already pretty limited.

This is literally the sole reason that riot put out support items, is because supports used to spend their trash gold on nothing but wards. This is coming from a support main who's played since season 2.

So you have no problems with telling supports how pathetic they are, how they dont know how to play, how they should quit league, how they are complete trash? all because the support didnt have ONE item. If they wanted it. they could have said "hey support, we need more vision, can you build sightstone please?" instead of "Omg No sightstone? you are pathetic, you dont know how to play support. You dont know how to play league. Trash"

and yes I know how limited gold is. And the small amount of gold one gets is like a crumb compared to what adcs get, and they expect supports to keep them alive on nothing. So its a matter of Building items as they are needed. If something is needed, How hard is it to ASK. Instead of expecting and then tearing the support a new one when they turn out NOT TO BE ABLE TO READ MINDS. Want more wards? ask Want a sightstone? ask! Want support to build tank? ASK. But no these people feel like they can just walk all over and trash thier support and supports are just supposed to take it like a good little doormat.

Aslo that trinket coment is BS. I have played game where Everyone on the team could be lvl 10+ and they DONT upgrade their trinkets. I had someone tell me he wasnt going to upgrade because upgrading the trinket cost 250g, which was apparently too xpensive for a recharging 1 Pink or 2 Green. Yet people still have the gall to chew out the supports for not being able to ward the entire map BY THEMSELVES. So please take that excuse back to where you bought it from. Even when they CAN upgrade, they dont because "Warding is support's job, not mine!"

Did i say i was okay with any of that....? i literally said i would have less respect for you, because it's quite frankly blatanly stupid to not build one. I don't care what your reasoning is, there is no reason to not have one. Like, people shouldn't have to ask you to do what you should already be doing, but after all if you're not building a sightstone I'm going to have to guess you're playing in bronze/silver where people don't know how to build anyways.

People SHOULD be upgrading their trinkets, if they don't, then why should you still lack on a sightstone...? I said I'm a support main, I know alllllll to well about the shit supports always get, and everyone saying to ward the entire map. That's when i remind them i can only put out 3 and 1 pink, and if they feel like it's lacking too much then they should upgrade their trinkets. Pretty simple concept.

All i said was, I wouldn't respect you as a pretty good support if you don't have a sightstone, because that definitely means you're not getting vision coverage, and just wasting your gold. Sightstone is always my first buy when i back if i have 800 gold.
