@Lyte An Idea for players who are targets of death threats / high levels of toxicity

Last night was the first time anyone ever told me to "go kill yourself" in a video game. Followed by repeatedly saying that i needed to " just go die". I was shocked and it was not a fun experience.

Background - i was jungleing and this was a laner. He kept pushing and dying and then yelled at me for not ganking. When I told him i could not help if he kept pushing to unsafe places he went off.

While I know that I am not a perfect citizen and have gotten in my fair share of arguements with fellow leaguers. I have never experienced this. I know that Riot takes statements like this and others very seriously. But sadly the damage is already done. I did have an Idea that I hope would help the victims.

Whenever someone who is the victim of toxicity at the level where it could result in an insta- perma - ban. It would be nice if once the case is looked into and resolved the player who was a victim got a note from Riot saying something like " We are sorry that you were spoken to in this manner. We wanted to let you know that after reviewing your reports the player who ..... has been banned from LOL."

This would help the victim see that you are serious about your bans and it would help them to feel safer playing the game again. Knowing that you as a company take this type of thing seriously. In my opinion the victim should get information as too the punishment of the people who terrorized them. I know you say that you do not share this for confidentiality reasons ( and I do not think you have to give out the name) But letting them know that the report was successful in extreme situations would just build trust for the system and for Riot. Also as the victim they are already a part of the situation. It is not a confidential situation since they know what was said. I It would be helpful for them to achieve closure on the situation for them to be notified in some way.

Some guy telling another person to kill themself after they make a poor play is not the same as a "death threat" some people around here are far too sensitive which is a major reason the report feature does not work as intended.

Just go intentionally feed. He did tell you to kill yourself and die, so that's what you're doing... repeatedly.
