Any tips for farming?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on having better farm. I know that it's a really important skill and want to get good at it but for one reason or another I struggle to do so to the point where looking at my own cs makes me cringe. Here's a list of the main areas I'd like advice in:

  1. How do I stop minions from being the same health? - I find this happens to me a lot and it forces me to pick one minion and lose the other and the minions I lose stack up throughout the game.

  2. Not taking damage - Pretty simple, how do I not get poked down when going in for cs.

  3. In lane how close could I be to a minion wave? - Should I always be in auto range or should I move back sometimes? If so then when?

  4. Trading - How do I keep constant cs when I trade with my lane opponent?

  5. Mid and Late game - This is a big one for me. I find that I'll sometimes have ok farm in the early game but as mid and late game come around it falls off drastically, how do I prevent this?

If someone could help me out that would be great, and I do apologize if some of the answers are really obvious.

try to hit one minion randomly when you see more than one is going down at the same speed, but so that you can still last hit it.

or try to combine an aa with an spell to hit 2 at almost the same time. or hit all with one AoE spell.

position yourself right. and try to time your CS. when you see your minions are getting low too, your opponent will most likely try to get them instead of trading. not only keeping track of your enemies, but also your own minions, is not that easy, but it gives you a good advantage because you can predict how your opponent will most likely position himself. You can also use this information to poke your opponent when you see that he will take a step forward to get a CS in your backline.

always depends on your enemy champion, his CDs and mana/hp state. you want to go back when you can't trade and have no more minions to last hit. when you are confident that you can zone off your enemy from last hitting your minions you can do that.

it's important that you don't just stand in front doing nothing but eating free poke. when you can't zone/trade and have no more minions to last hit take a step back until there are minions to last hit again.

As said in 2, try to keep track of your own Minions too and punish your opponent when he tries to farm. Sometimes you want to give up CS for a Trade or because it is not worth to get that Minion to eat poke. But pretty much timing is everything to keep up a good CS while also trading.

try to also look for CS on Sidelanes. when you splitpush, you also keep up good CS. but when you see there is a big enemy wave on one lane, go to it and stay there a little bit to last hit until the wave is pushing for you. you don't have to AoE the wave away, you can also stay and wait for a few waves while the wave is pushed so you have no risk getting ganked.
