My theory on so called "OP juggernauts"

Okay, currently, it's argued that Darius Garen Mordekaiser Skarner are anywhere in the range of strong-broken in terms of strength. I main Garen, played him before and after the rework, and I wouldn't say he's overpowered, but there is one item. An Item so seemingly balanced, but it just BREAKS these 4 juggernauts...

item 3742 THIS THING

But why is it so breaking? Because the point of these juggernaut reworks was to do 2 major things:

  1. Make it so that nobody wants to mess with the juggernauts (Themselves, of course)
  2. Slow down the juggernauts so that they run up and decimate whoever they want

They got the first part down, but this item negates the effect of the second goal, giving the wearer +60 movespeed! That's the same as a item 3009! And if you get both, plus alacrity on the boots, that's an additional 140 MOVESPEED Especially someone like Garen, which they have a %30 speedup, they're going as fast as Master Yi when he ults! If not faster! The point of the juggernauts is for them to be these big, slow, tanks able to deal out puns of damage that no one wants to mess with. But with this item, The juggernauts can go as fast as they want!

So that's my general idea on this whole "OP juggernauts" thing that's been floating around the boards for a while. Tell me what you guys think, am I brilliant, or a nutjob?

That's why I laugh when people say "Kite Garen".

Oh, please tell me how you kite a Garen moving towards you with Mobi's+Black cleaver+Deadmans plate+30% MS buff+CC break+Banshees veil to ensure the first CC doesn't hit him.

How. How the hell do you even kite that?? Please. Someone let me know!!!

And no, this isn't 1 for all, why do you ask?

I missed 1 for all... But the videos on YouTube look amazing. Wish I'd been able to play it. Rito please bring it back!

I would say that Jinx has meh mobility, since it requires her to have a kill/assist just beforehand.

But when she does manage to get a kill or assist (not too hard given her range and AoE crits, no one in hell is catching her.

Mobility boots lose all their speed bonus when you hit him with anything, They don't even hold speed when hit by jungle monsters. Deadmans plate loses speed bonus when he hits something or when you hit him with some cc. Your imaginary cc break is already used up with his MS boost since you counted that into the movement speed pool moving at you. Garen's q speed boost was already nerfed twice for duration and speed. His Q doesn't go on cd until he hits something or the duration ends, making it even longer before he can use it again if you slowed/stunned him after he used it. Seriously, nobody is buying mobility on Garen that I have seen, you have little idea how garen works or even old gear. He has no gap closing jump like so many champs, has no cc to slow anyone down or stun then. If you have trouble with garen, try playing him sometime and learning the champ. Mentioning 4 pieces of gear he needs to reach you in the first place with a combined total of 40 damage and less pen than a last whisper isn't helping your case either. If garen upsets you so much, how do you handle xin with basically a 3 second cd gap closing jump engage with area slow and ensuing knockup at basically a 3 second cd with max cdr?

Alright, I will agree the item is strong, but it is strong well within being a healthy item.

If you want to try to say for even a second that the Skarner rework wasn't released with maybe the worst balance any champion has been, you sir are trolling us.

Generalization isn't good for game health either

Well, Vayne and Ashe can both kite Garen pretty easily. As can Kalista.

Caitlyn has the potential to kite Garen pretty well, although her ability to kite him is a lot more tenuous.

Having said all of that, the point isn't to try to 1v1 the juggernauts as an ADC. The point is to stay away from them in a teamfight and let your support keep them off you while you whittle them down. If you find yourself in a 1v1 versus a juggernaut as an ADC either you made a dire mistake or you got outplayed by the juggernaut. In either case, you deserve to die.

I'd rather have righteous glory most of the time if I really needed help engaging. If you are front lining it, deadmans plate isnt going to get you there when enemy hits you with slows and the ms boost disappears. I like it most in the jg for help with ganking from out of vision.
