If you didn't know, Riot Lyte has an ask.fm account where he answers player questions regularly
There are a lot of concerns about bans, restrictions, rewards, and other player behavior system information. Riot Lyte (Lead Game Designer of Social Systems) answers these questions on his ask.fm page. Before making a thread about how the automatic Player Behavior punishment system doesn't work, I suggest you go to his page and read all the questions he's answered. Below are a few examples;
Why is Toxicity such a High Priority, but things like Sandbox, DDOS, Drop Hacking, Solo Queue Trolling, etc are not being implemented. Why are people allowed to Troll in Champion Select, or AFK in a game without consequences, but telling someone to stop getting caught is considered Toxic? We're doing quite a few things to address those other issues actually.
- There's a team that works continuously on better protection against DDOS/drophacking.
- We (the Player Behavior Team) are working on Team Builder Draft, which is a new champion select experience that solves a lot of the Champ Select problems you see today in Ranked Queues.
- We launched the LeaverBuster system earlier this year, which dropped leavers/AFKs by 19-34% (depending on server) in Level 30 games.
If you had a 20 min low priority queue, do you still get season rewards after 5.18, or does it not reset? We're not excluding rewards from any players who had just Low Priority Queues for the 2015 Season.
I read that all previous chat records will be wiped. Will this negatively affect the chances of previously banned people being able to prove they had reformed with whatever ranked rewards policy you guys are finalizing? Yes, with the new Upgraded Restrictions we'll be introducing in 5.18, we'll be resetting all active Chat and Ranked Restrictions. Consider this a fresh start for players with any current Chat or Ranked Restrictions because as long as they stay sportsmanlike and do not get new Chat or Ranked Restrictions by the End of Season, they'll get Ranked Rewards.
