Hello, I am iLuma.

As most of you know, I like to give out Free Skins & Champions. A LOT.

You can usually find me hovering around the Memes & Games board having little random contests from telling horror stories involving your favorite League characters or even making awesome stick figure concept art for skins you'd like your favorite characters to have.

I'm a very giving individual. It's just in my nature.

The only thing I cannot stand is when I select a victor and they constantly blow up my chat in-client asking for when they are going to receive their skin. Dear annoying person, you must realize that I am doing this from the kindness of my heart and am in no way obligated to gift you anything. I do this because I like seeing how happy people are when they receive the gift and I like when people come together.

But seriously.

If I saw you in person, I would throw my shoe at you for being so damn rude.

So please, all I ask is that if somebody is doing something from their own kindness and receive no physical benefit from doing so, then please at least appreciate their efforts and know that they are not there to lick your shoes. You'll get your prize when I am ready to gift it to you.

You have a good point here. Like, they should just be happy you're giving them a skin or something at all.

Like, come on people. Show some gratitude. If you have to wait a week or two to get a free skin, so be it. It's still free. Are you appreciative of a late birthday present? Then you shouldn't mind getting a free skin a couple weeks later than you thought.

I just love it when people feel entitled to something because it was "free".

I won't ever get the captain gangplank skin because I didn't have a chance to play a match with him before the deadline (and won't for at least a week), but it's just a free skin that was for people who played a lot of GP. I'm bummed I'm gonna miss out, but I didn't ever "deserve" a free skin like that, so I have zero right to complain.

On top of that, to whomsoever was/were the rude individual(s) pestering this generous player for "your" free skin, for all you know iLuma was waiting for the next patch to gift you a cool upcoming skin, or maybe iLuma has been busy with real life situations, or maybe just maybe, iLuma doesn't spend every living moment on the client queueing up gifts.

Be patient, good things come to those who wait.

Well it depends IMO.

If you hold a contest and say you'll give out a skin to the person then wait a year, yeah i'm with the guy who won the contest.

It's a very situational claim but i'm sure you don't mean it in that light.

Its unfortunate that's happened. Only logical reason I can come up with is people are so excited to get the skin they forego whatever pleasantries they may be able to otherwise show. That's assuming they have any at all.

I've never received a gifted skin because I don't really know anyone who plays this game. But a few weeks ago I had a player say he was going to "gift" everyone on the team if someone else died so he didn't feel bad (was a bot game and I believe he was plat). So I "took one for the team." Was funny.

Anyways, another player on the team messaged me afterwards asking me if I got my gifted skin / champ. Apparently the plat player had rewarded him. Needless to say never got mine. I don't know if by accident or intentional, or just a grand troll by two people who knew each other. But was a bit of a let-down. Never expected to receive anything, but was disappointed at being left out. Was happy for the other guy though.

Moral of the story: **IF you get a gift, feel blessed and thankful, pass it forward if possible, and never expect anything even if someone says something. Always be pleasantly surprised. **

100% Agree with you too, iLuma. Honestly you're FAR more patient with them than I would be.

Well, I can't actually conceive of you existing and all that but I am first going to say thank you for doing that. Though in regards to this thread, in my opinion, I'ld just say forget them and choose a different winner. it's entirely fair because there is no reason for them to be awful people that who treat you like a skin dispenser.

But on a lighter note, you just keep on being you.
