Can someone explain this? TOP LANE

I see this all the time and I'm just wondering the logic behind it.

I see people who go top a lot constantly lose top and feed because instead of knowing or let's say for example accepting that the other person in your lane is rather better than you or has a champ that counters you , they decide to keep trying to win trades and kill the other person even though they are 2 kills ahead of you already with 20 to 30cs more and an extra item.

I can't figure out why people are so rather ego hungry or just don't seem to not care that they are feeding that lane but the logical smart choice would be to play passive and farm by turret and wait for ganks, even if you have to wait for the wave to push and miss some cs it is better than going in and dieing and feeding more instead of just playing safe and waiting for ganks.

So can someone explain to me why people do this? You are losing your lane why keep going in and fighting at the chance you might get lucky? You already gave that person 2 or 3 kills and he is now way ahead of you in cs and items, what is the point of risking giving him another kill going to do even if you do by some lucky chance kill him, you are still behind.

Then proceed to blame it on jungle as to why they died so many times and lost lane because they didn't know how to play passive or wait for jungle to get there... and I know if top is feeding a lane as a jungle I'm more then likely going to gank and help the winning lanes get more fed then help the dude who simply doesn't care and keeps feeding.

It's one thing if their jungle is camping your lane and as a jungle you do nothing to help, it's another to lose top straight up do to stupidity and over extend and not know your own weakness.

It's called trolling.

I'd say they are accustomed to playing a certain way (aggressively) and have the "I need to get kills" mindset. When they come up against a better player, they don't know how to readjust their play style to play defensive.

There's probably also a level of frustration and think that if they can just get one kill they can turn the lane around.

It also might be something as simple as not realizing just how far behind they are, or forgetting how big a difference a couple levels can make in a 1v1. I know I've gone into fights, not realizing I'm seriously outlevelled, and just melt. I'm a long time player and don't think of myself as a 'baddy', but there are tons of game aspects I forget to pay attention to and get wrecked for it.

Because there gets a point when they are so fed that you can't even farm under turret and trying to gank them will just give them a double.

Usually happens when an unranked player gets matched up against a plat smurf.
