Why Does Yasuo Shield Himself In Combat?
Seriously everything else aside, I don't understand why Yasuos shield is able to activiate in the middle of combat
Even Malzahar has to not get hit for 30 seconds before his pops up

He has to walk around to build his shield up, which takes some time.
Also, he's a melee who has to get close to ranged champions to deal damage, and the shield helps mitigate incoming damage so he can close the gap.
and his wall doesn't close the damage gap? what about his double crit giving him extra damage to, "close the gap"
