How Does Riot Know Exactly When You're Mid Top or Bot or JG?

- How does Riot know if it's not Elise Top or Elise Mid?
- How does Riot know that it's MAGE Elise and not TANK Elise?

They see you when you're csing They know when you're at base They know if you've been bad or good So be good for Rito's sake
Riot sees all and knows all.
Just can't see the boards.
(Real answer) They know because
1.) The minions that you kill are linked to a lane, so if for the first 20 minutes, you are taking farm from top, mid, bot, or the Jungle, they will know by that. 2.) The parts of the map that you spend the most time in for the first 20 minutes. 3.) The roles that your champion is most frequently played in does affect it a little bit, and this is responsible for a lot of the mistakes.
For example I play Annie Support a lot, but I roam mid frequently. This tricks the system a bit and a good portion of the time it thinks I am mid because I spend a lot of time there, I have no minions that were attached to "bot lane", and Annie is really frequently played as a midlaner. However for someone like a Diana Jungle who ganks mid a lot and taxes their lane, the system will know because the majority of the minions she takes are from the Jungle.
Lyte spectate every games for toxicity and that's how Riot know.
I think it's based on how you queue up in TB.
Just a theory, though.
