I have around 288 'teamwork' honors plus no ban/restriction/queue-ban in S6 and never got a badge (I also know people with way more honors than me who did not make it). However, is it still possible to obtain one ?
I believe they are still obtainable. I've seen a person in my friends accounts friend list have over 500 Teamwork honours and he had a badge. I've still been farming as much as I can but with friendlys. Mostly whenever they ask for my role, I say theres a price. They back up, and I tell them its an honour. Gets em everytime. B)
They are still obtainable, but with the number of people who actually honor at the end of a match, you need to play a LOT of matches on a regular basis to obtain one. I have over 800 teamwork honors and recently lost my honor badge since I haven't really been playing as much for it's upkeep, but was able to keep it for years due to playing regularly and getting about 3 honors a day (give or take). With how little people honor each other at the end of each match anymore, it might be worth having Riot look at the honor system and maybe make it easier to obtain them if Riot is dead set on keeping it.
You have to gain honor consistently after every match, it doesn't really matter how many you have.

Indeed I did. In the preseason to be precise. I got 2 ribbons simultaneously: Great Mentor & Great Teammate. My current ribbon is green which is the most common of the 4.
thing is no one honors enough on a regular basis. in the pass when it 1st started, every one was hyped about it. to see what it be like, look like. so every game unless you just completely were a assclown every one honored every one. you get honored by all 9 others and you would honor all 9 other players. now days it more likely to get reported for something then honored for anything.
