So I recently discovered that on the register for PBE page the links around the site at the top are a bit unusual. They are visually the same as the older parts of the site however they contain links to many parts of the site that I wasn't even aware of and more than a few of which you can no longer normally navigate to.

Some parts of these are broken, other parts are outdated. I am bored at the time of writing this so I am going to go through them all and post the parts that no longer work/are accurate.

#Game Info

• Game Modes Currently the crystal scar is still listed as a game mode here in the original form.

• Videos There are a number of items here that have stopped being updated. Some, like summoners showcase, have obvious reasons for ending. However there still remain the patch preview videos of patches 3.01 - 3.10 That is uhh... pretty outdated. I honestly don't know why there aren't more of these but in the end you can throw it into the same reason as summoners showcase. It is a series that isn't being made anymore.

Now here is the question though. We know Riot shows off fan made videos, to the point of putting them in the client. However the "Fan Videos" section still only contains 3 videos from about as many years ago.

Some of you might be saying "Well that whole section isn't being used anymore." However this is wrong. Both the "Champion Spotlights" and "Creative Spotlights" tabs, which are listed under the exact same heading, are updated with the newest Kled/Project videos.

In fact there is an entire Media tab that still has parts of it being updated but no way to access it normally. When in the Media section the "News" tab at the top is highlighted to show that I am in it, but when I access the News tab normally there is no link to media. It can only be accessed through the Videos section under Game Info or the News section if you are in the PBE application page.

• Art The entire art tab is outdated, with the most recently updated thing I could find being a downloadable wallpaper posted 2 years ago. However many of the subjects in it are still highly relevant. There is a pool party section where you can scroll through the splash art for all the pool party skins except the most recent 3.

Despite all the fan art League regularly shows us the fan art tab remains hopelessly outdated.

#Competitive

Ok now this was interesting. There are only 2 subsections here. Both cover the 2014 ranked season.

The first is just that, answering people's questions about the 2014 ranked season. It is pretty basic and outdated along with everything else.

However the 2nd tag was "Ranked"

This tab while being 2 years old, was on the new site. Everything about it looked like part of the new theme they are going with and the navigation tool at the top is fully updated. However if anything it makes me question even more why they haven't continued updating the ranked season sections. It was clearly worked on by the same people working on the current site just based off the style it is in.

• Prized Events

So apparently there is a part of the LoL site where you can set up tournaments? I mean, I kinda knew it existed but damn. So far as I can tell there is no way to access it unless you know it is exists or stumble across the PBE page trick. Why is this very shiny up to date section of the site something I have no way to normally access? Why is there no tab at the top of my page for this? I would love to participate in tournaments, I already signed up for one in fact. However I shouldn't have to stumble across it the way I did after having been a constant user of the LoL site, more so by far than the average person, for over 2 years.

Everything else was working fine, although parts of it are pretty dated.

#Stuff to Consider

I mostly just did this out of boredom, but it did raise some questions.

1. If Riot is leaving those sections to die then why can I still access them through the PBE application site? Something that is still easily accessible

2. Of the tabs that are still clearly being updated why are many very similar sections that should be consistently updated not? Ex. Champ spotlights are updated but fan videos that Riot shows us are not

3. Of the tabs that are still being updated why are there so many that are not easily accessible to us?
