This big URF kerfuffle concerns me on a scale larger than just not having URF

Riot, you are an intelligent company, and I very much mean that. But what worries me is what happened yesterday. Despite everyone saying that they wanted URF mode, you ignore them and give us "Draven day" instead. Which as you could see from everyone's reactions, went over fantastically. But other than just poor feedback, here is what really worries me:

Did literally NO ONE at Rito HQ think that "Maybe people want Urf mode instead of a poorly photoshopped picture of Draven on every champion"?

There is no way a company this successful could have done this without thinking it would end poorly. Could they?
