How is Fiddles with the new jungle items?

I never bought the old one. It was just better to back, grab boots and 40AP item, get blue and gank. I'm wondering how this fits into the new jungle items. There seem to be 2 that he could get, the smite/slow champion one and the other one that gives you big mana and health increases while damaging nearby monsters. I think the smiting enemy champion would be a good thing since it also has that slow for his ulty. Is it better than just getting 40AP and boots on first back and then rushing zhonyas and deathcap, though? I can't exactly try it since rito succeeded in making the servers worse than they were.

He is OP as ever in Jungle, also the smite isn't needed for his ult when you have a fear...

Well, with it, you can E smite them. This will give you a little longer to chase them in ult before you pop fear drain on them.

What do you mean OP as ever though lol? I don't really see anything else changing for him except the jungler item, and I typically never got that anyway. I felt with 2 mana pots and drain, I never needed the jungle item passive anyway. Just better to grab tier 1 boots and 40AP item.

If anything, I think Fiddles has been UP in the jungle. I think this because his ganks really do struggle pre-6. Waiting to get level 6 is not something your teammates like to do. They like to die 3 times by 7 mins and say, "GG jung suks 0 ganks plz reprt".

He's good still, can sustain well. Watched him drain tank baron without getting knocked up at all so it was rather easy for him to do.

Yes, he is really good at tanking things. I don't like the new dragon, though, since it can knock you back and stop drain lol.

I haven't played him much myself I've just watched others play him so I can't give a very informed opinion. Getting the jungle item that slows champs would probably be really strong for him, and the AP jungle item seems worth building. But I can't say anything with much certainty in regards to fiddle

i get rangers on every jungler, the added sustain and not having to save smite for ganking is huge to help you keep up in levels

also, fiddles ganking was fine in season 4 he doesnt need an extra slow to help get kills

thats my attitude with all junglers haha, rangers = s4 jungle with strong camps, i prefer this

That's the thing, I don't think Fiddles really needs the extra sustain. I suppose rangers would give him faster clear times so it would be harder to counter jungle him. I just don't know if it is better than my current method of rushes zhonyas and deathcap.

I played several games with fiddle in the new jungle, and I still don't pick up the jungle item. Morello's has better stats and is more gold efficient. After Morello's I rush zhonya's and it's GG with team fights. I usually start with an amp tome and a ward, yes, I go 15 into the util tree to grab the extra starting gold. I am also using flat AP quints, seals, and glyphs and mpen reds. Try smiting gromp and then taking on the blue buff with drain. You'll be full health by the time it's over.
