Dear salty players who don't like me "feeding" (learning Azir) in their norms,

I know I'm really bad, I don't need to hear the 5000th person say it,

I'm still learning how to drift and cs as Azir properly,

I can't be perfect, I can't hit every ult of mine perfectly,

I'm trying my hardest,

I'm not in your ranked games,

EDIT: It seems people think I'm referring to going into a game with no idea how to play a champion. This isn't what I'm talking about, I'm referring to practicing and mastering a champion rather than just figuring out what the abilities do.

Dear salty players who tryhard in norms and call people "feeders" for learning new champs.

We are trying to have fun.

If you're too afraid to play ranked at least have the decency to respect other people who are trying to enjoy themselves or learn something new.

If you can't even do that, you should probably take a moment and re-evaluate why you are getting so mad over a video game.

Thanks.

The thing is, is that in the end, it's just Normals. It's not like it's Ranked, where your wins matter. Sure, you lose a Normal because someone wanted to try a new champion. The way the community should work would be to try to support the player who's playing a new champion. Make them feel better about making their selection, give them pointers, help them secure kills, be a good player.

Which is, apparently, too much to expect from this community.

A self respecting player wouldn't blame other people for trying a new champion and then sucking at it. From a personal perspective, if I had given up trying say Kat (inb4noskillchampnoobgitgud [BRUH. SHE TAKES MORE SKILL THAN YOU WOULD CONSIDER]), she wouldn't be my favorite champion and I wouldn't have Mastery 5 on her. Same thing with Sona.

Screw the naysayers. Do what you want with your games. It's all about you, in the end.

WHAT!? How dare you try a new champion on free week in normals!

I was told to go play with bots if I wanted to learn a new champion. So I did. I played (when he first came out) Azir bot lane as an adc. I got a double kill at 12 min while my soroka bot was derping around behind the minions. How does that translate into a real situation?

I looked through your games, OP, and I have a couple of build suggestions...

First off, don't take ignite with Azir. As a general rule, you shouldn't be close enough to your opponent to cast ignite on them. Barrier is generally my go-to with Azir. Secondly, I always rush Nashor's Tooth first with a second Doran's Ring to help with mana. My standard item order is generally; item 1056 item 2003 item 2003 > item 3108 item 1056 > item 3101 > item 3115 > item 3116 > anything else. (Boots somewhere in the early/mid game.) Of course, it's going to be situational depending on what you need for defenses, but if all is going well, that's what I do. Not sure of what you do with your skill order, but most agree on R > Q > W > E.

Also, QUICK CAST WITHOUT INDICATOR. It's hard to get used to, but it's almost always a good idea on any champ. It forces you not to hesitate to cast abilities and helps you learn to keep track of yourself better while visualizing your own range.

Today i bought Azir. I played him in a blind pick (i don't try champions in bot games, i think its useless since you can pretty much miss all you abilities and still get fed). I went vs a mastery 5 project zed, that would just dive me in turret and wreck me. It's really annoying because i'm trying to learn a champ and this guy that can only get fed vs first time players thinks he's a pro.

I understand not doing well because you're learning the champ, but I hate it when people will have no map awareness, do really bad plays when a JG ganks, general stuff like that, and then blame it because they're playing a new champ. Those people really rustle my jimmies.

Btw to the OP of this thread. If you are in bronze ... you do not have the basic mechanical skill it takes to play azir you will be there trying to learn him forever. Azir is like a marksman of apc's you need raw mechanic's to play him at a high level. Your positioning your poking, your knowledge of when to slide in or out of combat. Using his towers effectively. Using his soldiers to jump over walls correctly and avoid ganks by using his soldiers properly. Just going into a normal and trying to learn how to CS with him isnt going to improve you at all. If you do not have the mechanics it wont matter if you learn how to cs with him or not you will still die to that 30 cs annie 20 mins in even if u have 100 cs.
