(for those of you who already read this, this page is an update to my previous page to include the splash art, lore, and stats.)

Before I start, I want everyone to know that I LOVE Cho'Gath as a character and where he stands in League of Legends, but he is beginning to lose his viability as more mobility based, bursty laners are being created. Additionally, his kit is good, but quite old. I think it would be a good idea to modernize it a bit. Lastly, where does Cho'Gath actually go? There hasn't really been much attachment to a lane for him, he just goes where he goes. Let's look at how he fares in each lane.

Support: I think this is where Cho'Gath is most used. While he has a really good knock-up and silence that is support-like, he relies on his passive and ult to keep good sustain; which, needless to say, screws the ADC out of farm and kills. Jungle: While he has good Jungler characteristics, there are junglers that can enact his role much better. Like Vi, for example, who has really good farming AND good ganking potential, and can additionally end up rather tanky. For his ult, Nunu has a very similar ability on a 10 second cooldown which additionally heals him as well. While the jungle does allow Cho'Gath to gain stacks of Feast freely, he could just as easily get these stacks in any lane and let another champion handle the jungle. Top Lane: This was the lane Riot created Cho'Gath for. While he can somewhat fare well here, there are more ranged champions with a higher damage output at lower costs. Honestly, with this role and every other role, he is just stalling until he can reach his late game tankiness, which is when he truly shines. Chogath "THE DAYLIGHT, IT BURNS!" I mean doesn't shine! He doesn't shine! Mid Lane:(refer back to Top Lane, skipping the first sentence) ADC: We don't talk about how we tried that here...

Also, Cho'Gath's kit and character cohesiveness is lacking just a tad. While you know he's a giant colossus of a creature, you can't really tell he's from the Void via his kit. So, without further ado, onto the changes!

Chogath Stats:

Cho'Gath - the Terror of the Void Primary Role: Tank; Secondary Role: Fighter Health 574.4 (+80) Attack damage 61.156 (+4.2) Health regen. 8.925 (+0.85) Attack speed 0.625 (+1.44%) Mana 272.2 (+40) Armor 28.88 (+3.5) Mana regen. 7.205 (+0.45) Magic res. 32.1 (+1.25) Range 125 - 161.6 ((based on Feast stacks)) (Melee) Mov. speed 345

.

Passive: Carnivore Whenever Cho'Gath kills a unit, he recovers 4% of his maximum health and 1% of his maximum mana.

Not too much of a change here to his passive. It gives good sustain and would definitely help him lane.

Q: Rupture Range- 950 Cost- 90 mana Cooldown- 9 Active: Cho'Gath stamps the ground with such force that a 90/130/175/220/260/300-radius (based on Feast stacks) target location opens a rift to the Void for 0.625 seconds. Afterwards, spikes erupt from it, dealing 80 / 135 / 190 / 245 / 305 (+ 60% AP)(+ 5% Bonus Health) magic damage to and knocking up all enemies hit for 1 second. Targets hit are slowed by 60% for 1.5 seconds after landing.

Now these are some pretty big changes to his Q; mostly the size of the rupture. This is a pretty big nerf to his early game, but it makes the size of his late game Q almost double. The next big change is the damage. It now gains damage with your BONUSHealth, this means that you can build all-tank and still do a pretty good amount of damage. Finally, the style of his Q has changed. It now relates him more to the Void while keeping his goliath nature.

W: Feral Scream Range- (Based on Feast stacks: 0 and 1 stacks: 525 3 stacks: 700 5 stacks: 875 6 stacks: 1000) Cost- 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 mana Cooldown- 13 Active: Cho'Gath roars in a 60º cone in front of him. The cone is divided into two halves, the half closer to Cho'Gath deals 85 / 145 / 205 / 265 / 325 (+ 40% AP)(+ 5% Bonus Health) magic damage, silences for 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 / 2.25 / 2.5 seconds, and slows for 40% for 0.5 / 0.6 / 0.7 / 0.8 / 1 seconds. The half that is further away from Cho'Gath deals 75 / 125 / 175 / 225 / 275 (+ 40% AP) magic damage and silences for 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 / 2.25 / 2.5 seconds.

This a bit more of a modernization than anything else. It is still a substantial buff, but also sets up a pretty good combo if you knock-up your lane opponent with your Q and move forward to land the inner half of your W; with a slow and a silence, this essentially wins you an easy trade.

E: Vorpal Spikes Range- (Based on Feast stacks: 125/250/375/500/625/750) Toggle – On: Whenever Cho'Gath performs a basic attack, he will summon spikes from the Void dealing (100% AD)(+ 30% AP)(+ 5% Bonus Health) magic damage to enemies in a line in front of him.

Just a slight change to his E. Buffing the damage and changing the range based on his Feast stacks.

R: Feast/Savage Starvation Range- 175 Cost- 100 mana Cooldown- 60 Feast: Passive: While Feast is off cooldown and Cho'Gath is near combat, he gains a stack of hunger each second. Upon reaching 60 stacks, the stacks are consumed and gives Cho'Gath the buff Savage Starvation. While Cho'Gath has this buff, he gains the ability to use Savage Starvation for 3 seconds for no mana cost after Feast successfully hits a target. Additionally, he gains 25/35/50 bonus movement speed when moving towards enemy champions and 30%/40%/50% attack speed. After 7 seconds while the buff is active, Cho'Gath loses 10% of his current health each second. The buff ends after he uses Feast, or when he is out of combat for 3 seconds. While you have 6 stacks of Feast, you will not gain stacks of hunger. Active: Cho'Gath devours target enemy, dealing 300 / 475 / 650 (+ 3% Bonus Health) true damage (1000 (+ 7% Bonus Health) true damage against minions and monsters). If Feast kills the target, Cho'Gath breaks off his exoskeleton which makes him grow larger (no longer gets bonus size with rank of ability) and he gains 72/96/120 (The sixth stack of Feast grants 180/240/300 maximum health and 40/60/75 armor and 20/30/45 Magic Resist) maximum health and extra basic attack range, (your first stack does not increase spell range) stacking up to six times. If he uses Feast on an enemy champion, or a large or epic monster, he gains a stack immediately. (even if it doesn't kill the target) If Cho'Gath kills an enemy champion, or a large or epic monster with Feast, Carnivore's recovery is increased to 15% health recovery and 10% mana recovery. Cho'Gath loses half of these stacks, rounded up whenever he dies. (Lost stacks being rounded up, thus, kept stacks rounded down.) After 80 seconds of not receiving another stack of Feast, Cho'Gath loses one stack of Feast. Savage Starvation: Active: Cho'Gath devours target enemy, dealing 150 / 240 / 325 (+ 1% Bonus Health) true damage (500 (+ 4% Bonus Health) true damage against minions and monsters). This ability NEVER gives a stack of Feast. If Savage Starvation kills an enemy champion, or a large or epic monster, Carnivore's recovery is increased to 15% health recovery and 10% mana recovery.

Now this is the biggest change of all for him. Since his ult affects his entire gameplay, it is essential for Cho'Gath to reach level 6 as quickly as possible. It is a change to make him more realistic in the way that he has to keep eating to stay alive; and that, when he is hungry, he will go into a frenzy for food, eating anything he can get his claws on. I think that his frenzy will really help a jungling Cho'Gath gank. I really enjoyed the feeling of being able to say, "I just ate that guy!" so when I took out the part of the ability where he HAD to kill the unit to gain a Feast stack, I made sure to keep the same enjoyment of ominomming someone to death; hence the Carnivore buff when they are Feasted. Additionally, because he will no longer be able to get Savage Starvation when he is at max stacks, I made sure that he would be well compensated with more Health and bonus Armor and Magic Resist at stack 6.

Lore:

The Outside, the Unknown- that is what those disgusting humans call this place. But alas, it is the Void! The incarnation of doom and destruction. The birthplace of chaos and darkness. They have no knowledge of the terrors of our Void; but they will soon know it through the spills of their blood!

The Void does not harbor mistakes, every creature that has survived is the perfect manifestation of survival of the fittest. The beginning of life in the Void starts with the spores that float amongst the war and chaos. These spores hunger for flesh and will infest the nearest creature it can find. They feast and feast on these creatures until it has become hollow and falls dead. They grow with each bite and become larger themselves, fending off the spores that they grew from. They then begin slaughtering and devouring their rivals that grew with them until there is only one left. This was me, I was the strongest, but weak from battle. I found a cave to rest, but my hunger was relentless. I preyed on weary Voidspawn who were also in seek of refuge. My body grew with my blood lust until I was the strongest in my territory. But then a champion of another territory wished to finish me. I was hopelessly beaten by this superior creature. But then, in the mountain, there were large thorns. I used these to cut him down to my size, where I could easily finish him off. I became even stronger with this bloody victory. These spikes helped, so I ate them; and I have been able to summon them to cut down my foes ever since.

I grew extensively, until I learned how to speak, how to roar, even how to control the dark energies of the Void around me. My reputation grew with me and reached the recently formed council of the Void that was constructed to extend the Void's reach to supremacy. They all knew the others would eventually betray the council for their own gain, yet they tried to keep their appearances. They summoned me to the council in my worst of moods, hungry. I immediately struck one of the councilmen down and relieved my starvation. They smiled as they watched me. A rift to Runeterra had recently been torn open, and they wished for me to "introduce" the humans to the terrors of the Void. They taught me of their ideals and named me Cho'Gath- meaning Mighty'One. I agreed, I will show these humans, as they call them, the terror of the Void. A prophet influenced by the Void ripped through the barrier for me to enter into Runeterra.

Prepare yourselves, humans!

Runeterra will fall!

(for those of you thinking that the lore was poorly written, I tried to put it in perspective of Cho'Gath)

Well, those are the changes I came up with for Cho'Gath. Let me know what you think in the comments below! Also, I'll be making lots of champion reworks, so let me know which ones you want me to do! These are the concepts I have finished in my head: Malphite Taric Alistar These are the ones I'm currently working on: Sivir Evelynn Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed! His kit is fine the way it is I love cho for how he is now if anything he needs a VU to where he no longer looks the way he does and looks more like an actual void monster with void particles on his moves. Honestly this season I have been playing cho gath and have a 80% win ratio with him in ranked play. There is a place for cho currently u just need to understand and know where to look.

The lane he is most suited for currently is top lane as a ap tank/bruiser. Now u might ask how is that how can he deal with all these overpowerd champions. The answer is simple.

He never has to deal with them without a gank or without being the one to start the fight knowing he can win. There is not many champions in the top lane currently that can wave clear like cho'gath after reaching lvl 6-7 you will clear an entire wave with a single Q easily outbullying anyone to their tower and causing them to lose cs while you aquire the entire wave instantly. You can back buy and return to lane while the enemy is still behind in cs and they are eighter freezing the lane or pushing back. You just simply rinse and repeat,

The few top laners who can keep up are odd ones such as kayle, maokia somewhat can, riven somwhat can, maybe a few others but even then as long as you ward properly u really are in no danger against these threats.

You are basically a farming machine that will eventually outscale the enemy in top lane the longer it takes them to dive u in a good gank setup the harder it becomes for them to stop you.

pretty much the only times I've lost is when a team of riven. ahri or riven . vi or some combination like that tower dive me and take that risk. And even then its still a risk to them.

I sincerely hope they do not change cho gaths abilitys in any way. He is an odd pick but if your smart and good with him hes a pick that can counter almost any top, top laner at this time.

Also the new buff to his R on pbe ??? I LOVE IT that is only going to make the void terror that much more terrifiying.

Very well thought out. The only problem that I have is his Savage Starvation passive. The reason is because I feel that 7 seconds is too short to be able to get back to lane safely without losing health. Especially when the enemy laner has backed as well, menaing that you don't have the added movement speed when moving towards them.

Basically just Cho'Gath but way stronger. And he looses stacks of Feast.

I don't really think this would be fair for other players, as its making an already great tank who does decent damage if not a lot and making him scale with both his AP and health which would cause him to just do too much damage for how tanky he is. its also the fact of how does his health even affect some of his skills when they are in no way health related, such as the rupture, and the reason his void spikes dont do the AD bonus already (it would make sense with scaling on health) is because the damage buff would be too great especially in clearing, this would have to be applied to similar things such as diana passive

I must say, the art is great!

But what does the Cho'Gath say? ("Where's the Teemo?")
