We Missed Out [Dodged?] On A Really Big Meta Change, Twice
Awhile back when the new jungle items were still pretty new and Cinderhulk was the top item (#StatedDevPlz) top lanners began to have smite top with Cinderhulk. I don't know if anyone else really liked it, but I sure did. I was a difference between what we had, but it was never overpowered (Or at least in my opinion.) Fast forward a couple patches later and Runeglaive becomes effective in the mid lane (mainly ezreal.) What if Riot never patched these out, I don't think either of the two would be deemed overpowered if we had enough time to figure it out. Instead I believe we would have seen a large meta shift of, some teams having junglers, others not, and who else knows what. I may be wrong on this, and I have literally no evidence to back this up, but it may have even halted the mobility champs from taking over. I believe that the smite top and mid lanners were extremely fun and brought huge diversity in League. Now I'm not saying we bring it back, unless Riot can do it correctly, but we need to be more careful of what we immediately hotfix right now. Some may say that a Meta change like that would be terrible, but there are probably people such as myself that are welcome to huge advancements that keep League fresh and fun to play. And it isn't mobility champions (sorry I'm biased about Moba Champs.) I realize that I am not bringing up any real importance, but I just wanted to talk about that sometimes, we need to be on board with Riots ideas and see if it works out. They've been doing this for quite some time, they have to have some idea of what they are doing. And Riot. Stop with the Hotfixes.
